This is genuinely more helpful than any other resource I've seen on the Caro Kann, especially for the advance variation. As a Caro Kann player too, holy crap, Danya is giving us gold for free

There's a few variations on caro I've been getting used to but this video seemed almost made specifically for me with a couple of key moves where I was going wrong. I never thought to check for bishop being blocked so I could put the knight on the rim

Yeah I knew the very basics but this helped me understand the plans and themes a lot better. I’m not high enough rated to be memorizing every variation but this I think will help me a lot

@@Krapvag Yeah! I'm a Caro Kann main and that was the biggest takeaway for me as well. Usually can't put the knight there without destroying my pawn structure but that F4 pawn is blocking white's dark bishop

Danya(Naro) is the ONLY chess grandmaster worth the sub in Twitch prime, and its not because he teach anything better than free members, but worth because is the only way i can thank him in a way. He does all this for free, and out there are courses with half the info and attention, that costs an absurd amount of money. If you read this. Thank you! i admire u

He does it for "free" but you realise he is creating content for his stream and youtube this way and makes tens of thousands every month? Also literally having sponsor text on the screen. I appreciate the lessons greatly, but its stupid to say that he does it for free.

Quite possibly the most well thought out and clear chess teacher on RU-vid. I have ADHD and often times it’s hard to concentrate on openings videos for long; he makes it like nothing.

ive notice how all my RU-vid lessons on chess slowly became all from Daniel. Between how good he is, how he speaks in a clean manor and talks about his process, I sometimes don't know how I haven't spent 300 bucks on this. So at least hit the like button lol

I like that he apologizes for ranting when his ranting is the exact information I've been looking for about my opening and that has been lacking in most of the chess tutorials I've watched. It's great when you get a teacher like this who doesn't just act like everything is obvious but who shows things so clearly that it becomes obvious.

This video was really good, I’m not sure I’m ready for this one but the idea that the knight is somewhat happy on the rim I think we be really helpful. It can be tough to know when to stray away from the “rules”.

So instructive. I have been watching these videos periodically over the past few weeks during my study-break times. I played a game yesterday and I was playing so much better. I was versing a guy 90 points above me and I just felt like I mopped the floor with him. Danya has a way of explaining the rationale behind chess so well and I find him a very enjoyable teacher.

I have the same problem. Usually after going C5, the queen side is open to attack and I somehow never find the right way to stop that.

@@tjitsekoster9379 a6 is generally a nice move to prevent any pieces on b5, also Nd7 can be helpful with defense. Sometimes you need to make sure to castle early. Don’t be scared to play b6 if b7 pawn is attacked as it helps build for c5 even more. It’s good to castle generally before going for c5 but take this as advice dependent on situation, not an absolute rule

Yo this is just beautiful. I have watched Hikaru, Magnus, Chess Bruhhhhhh, Eric Rosen, Gotham chess, Finegold content but non of them are as insightful and helpful as you are. Love the Caro Kann but always thought Nh6 would run into a spontanious tall variation actually trapping the bishop but watching this helped alot as always

Wow, this guy really is the best at explaining what's going in Chess, other streamers like Aman and the chess nerd try, but they mostly end up just making moves and not explaining why, especially the nerd. theres a video of 400-2300 with EVERY MOVE EXPLAINED, the first 10 minutes basically just moving pieces and not talking lol
