This would be the perfect channel for the Khan Academy of Chess, just because you make everything so clear!! Thank you Danya, it's been a great journey.
Above and beyond chess, this series made my days brighter and was a strange source of meditative comfort and familiarity. Thank you for being one in a constellation of people that make my world better.
I love how Danya actually cares and wants to improve the skill of his viewers :) Of course other content creators do care for the fans but in my opinion, as of right now Danya is probably one of the best RU-vidrs for improving and learning more about chess.
I honestly don’t think most others actually care. They just want the views. I don’t wanna name the creators but there is a reason why most of their followers are under 1000 despite following them for so long, cuz it’s entertainment focused more than educational.
@@landon8952 there are some smaller channels that are really good but in terms of big ones, St. Louis and Chessbase India have really good stuff. They are a bit more advanced though.
@@saiashwin26 I don't think it's fair to assume someone is purely making decisions around viewer count, just because they make content focused on entertainment over education. Both are perfectly valid themes in their own right
I absolutely love your idea to be the khan academy of chess. Your skill as an educator is outstanding. I think a helpful resource may be to create playlists from the speed run by opening. So like all the caro-kann episodes in one place. And because you rotated through them so evenly, you could watch the Caro at 800, 1200, 1400, etc. back to back to back and really see the progression in the complexity of the opening. Seems very Khan Academy-esque to organize it thay way.
Thank you for this series Danya. I watched every single video religiously. I was new to chess when I watched many months ago and now feel like a dragon. 🐉 The Naroditsky School of Chess lives on.
I've learnt much more from you than any other chess content creator (including the 2 big ones), you are a great teacher which helps understanding some concepts for beginners and your non-bullshit approach is also somewhat entertaining. You fully deserve 1M subs.
Hey Daniel, just want to send an appreciation post on the creation of this series. I started taking chess seriously in these past months and I’ve recommended your videos to all my friends. You have such a way of analyzing and explaining ideas and moves. I’m one of many of your RU-vid students that get a kick of responding to your questions when you ask where the next piece should go and feeling the satisfaction of getting it right. You’re the man! I hope you get to a million subs one day!
Daniel we need another speedrun. We learn so much from every episode. I’ve gone up hundreds of rating points (from the beginner level to intermediate) through your videos. Thank you
Thanks for the speedrun Danya, its been awesome watching you climb the rating ladder. Myself along with many others I'm sure have learnt tons from your videos so thank you so much.
This is the best chess learning channel I found so far (~2 years), and more so Danya has a great personality and his teaching style is nothing less than amazing. The paradox is I found abut him from Levy's channel which I can't watch since.
You have a great way of explaining ideas and are a great person! Thank you for this precious content. I personally hope there will be another speedrun, since there is always so much to learn from a game and from you, but I'll of course enjoy every other content you'll create. Thank you!
Thank you so much for doing both of these speedruns! Watching you teach charlie is what got me into chess, and these speedruns really helped improve my play! Can't wait to see what other content you make!
What a journey, the speedrun was an AMAZING content for youtube, I was waiting for a new video daily, so thank you so much for the effort you make in creating quality contents! Greetings from Italy!
Thank you for all of your hard work during this endeavor. I hope I speak for everyone trying to improve, that this has been super helpful and looking forward to more educational content in the future.
Thanks for these videos Daniel, i have learn a lot from them and my chess skill improved, I'm sure the channel will keep on growing, because of great content such as this. Keep it up!
Thank you for the speedrun and the quality content. Everyday before I go to sleep I can just watch a thrilling video where I learn and have fun. Thank you Danya!
Thanks for the great series! Though my chess result hasn't improved much, but my thought process and chess understanding definitely have Wish you the best reaching your 1M sub goal!
Goodluck Danya, this channel is amazing already with lots of instructive stuff. It's kinda underrated though. You're a great teacher. Really excited to see the new vast content coming up in the future.
Thank you very much, I feel honored to have consumed this much of your educating content. I tuned in when you were at 1250 with rating, and though I never saw a Spanish game from you (expect the bishop sac variation) which is my favorite opening, I still learned so, so much. I hope your future speedruns will bring you even more subscribers, audience and revenue and that you continue to make this great and structured content. Kind regards and take care, Daniel.
You will influence a generation of players. And we will come back to watch the videos again and again for as long as the content is kept online. Congrats and looking forward for you to have a millions subs.
I have enjoyed every video you have made in the speedrun. Very clearly explained, on every level. You have done something quite amazing Daniel. Sad it ends, but if you ever restart count on me to watch again.
I am so happy you made this series. This is my favourite one by far! The way you talk us through the games is really educational, and you show us that with simple ideas you can play very well and win tough games. Here are a couple of thoughts about your vids: - Thank you thank you thank you for talking in a language that I can understand. I'm not talking about english, I'm talking about not-super-duper-high-level-chess-speak. It makes it much more enjoyable when you simplify so I can follow along. - The emphasis you put on openings and positional ideas really made me rethink how I should approach certain positions, how instead of rushing into an idea that may not work with my position collapsing, I should take it slow and notice when my opponent has to opportunity to push certain ideas of his own. - On the technical side, sometimes it sounds like you're hitting your mic, and though it's not bad enough to click away it certainly needs addressing - As for the end of the series, I'm sad it's ending but I'm glad you're working towards making your channel a chess education hub. Every end is a new beginning! Thank you a ton!
Congratulations Danya! You are THE man! Love watching the early episodes as I am ranked somewhere between 600-1200 depending on time controls, so thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Huge respect for refraining from clickbait stuff. I try to keep my RU-vid organized with a dozen or so accounts for different viewing topics, chess being one of them. I appreciate being able to accurately evaluate the contents of a video from it's title and thumbnail. I remain optimistic that your strategy of creating an ultimate reference for chess on RU-vid will create lots of recurring views.
i've been watching since episode one and i'm sad to see the series end but i've learned so much. i can't wait to see what other ideas danya has in store for content, i will always be here supporting and watching. keep up the good work danya!
Long time Gotham chess sub here but I have to admit that this been the most education chess content on RU-vid and it’s not even close. Keep it up Danya! More subs to come and for us (hopefully) more elo to come.
It's been a pleasure watching your Speedrun videos, I haven't missed 1 since you started releasing them. I'm sad to see it go but I'm sure whatever you do next will be just as great! Thanks Danya!
PLEASE PLEASE Danya make Chessable courses on openings and strategy !!! This will enable us to gain from your entire deep thought process around a specific topic (e.g. Ruy Lopez). You are the BEST chess online instructor in the entire world, in my opinion. Dan
I would love for this series to keep on continuing. I think it would be very instructional to hear how you play against stronger players, even if you struggle against them
Congrats on a great Chess Speedrun course! I hope you felt it was as much as a success as I did -- in providing a great resource to improve at this incredible game!
Excellent speed run Danya! Super instructives compared to other channels. We learn a lot and there is great interaction and explaination on the moves. No click bait, just real meat for the chess players. Well done!
Thank you 🙏🏼 that was a great journey, I learned a lot new concepts which improved my play. I had a huge problem with recognising a moment to attack and your advices helped me a lot: not to rush with attack, develop pieces on good squares, making patient moves, defending from opponents ideas. This sounds really simple and it is written in all chess books but being able to follow your thought process was very instructive.
Hi Daniel, I started watching your videos around a month ago -- in that short amount of time I've watched many of your speed run videos and I've progressed from 1614 (October 2nd) -> 1800(November 18th) rapid in just over a month. You are a gifted teacher and you offer so much insight to players around my level. Thanks so much!
Hi Daniel, first i want to thank you a lot for this amazing content. Imho you shouldn't stop making speedruns videos. We learn so much from a whole game, ideas for the opening, the middlegame and the endgame with you're thought process, very pedagogic and clear, i love it so much and wait for every video like a chrismas present. I've been watching chess contents all year since the queen gambit got me into chess and this type of videos is the best imo. Levy had a "how to win at chess" serie that was great but he doesn't do it anymore, blitzstream for french people has a pedagogic game serie that is great too. But you're speedrun series are the best, highest level of chess combined with highest level of clarity is just the greatest. As a london player a speedrun with more D4 games would be greatly appreciated. An opening serie could be great too with tricky ideas etc. Thanks again for everything Daniel, wish you the best.
Danya thank you for this speedrun. It’s like your favourite tv series coming to a end. Nothing on youtube comes close to teaching good chess like this series. You are a wonderful teacher and may you get the success and recognition you deserve.
Your explanatory ability along the whole phases of the game is unmatched by the rest of youtubers I follow. I was happy everytime youtube proposed another video of your speed run and afterwards i was eager to aply your teachings in my games. Cheers
A speedrun and overall channel content is phenomenal. There is - and I hope will be - a lot to explore and to go back to after some time. That's quality work and great personality (sorry for this vaseline, I had to!). You deserve 1Msubs like no other Daniel. All the best Mr. Naroditsky and thank you sir.
Thank you Daniel for this epic Speedrun. It was a pleasure to watch them all. Every morning I am used to open RU-vid hoping a new Speedrun video is out. Please start another one perhaps with a slightly different flavour.
This is hands down the best free content around. Really thankful for all the conceptual ideas instead of just another book line preacher. Actuay had substance, an Daniel is great with the perfect mix of down to earth and no nonsense. Thank you Daniel
Hi Danya. I just want to say thank you for everything you've done so far. I've learned so much from you and realized my play style from watching these videos.
Thank you Danya for teaching me chess and improving my rating by at least 500-600 points. This is the end of an era but the beginning of new one. I’m really look forward to your future videos!
I don't know if you read these Danya, but as an avid chess intermediate player that wants to improve himself to an advanced level, I have found your videos to be ones of the most useful ones to learn chess. My only issue with this is that your videos don't follow a certain structure in terms on what to learn, but that isn't to say they aren't useful. If I want to learn something of the Alapin Sicilian I can just browse the video titles and go ahead to it. As it is a speedrun journey, some aspects of certain topics are covered and some others are not, for example Alapin Sicilian game in speedrun will only cover the variation of what the other player has played, and it often isn't the main line. They are still really useful videos and valid to learn. You are one of the best chess teachers out there and you defintely can reach 1 M subs.
I think for now he's just trying to build up a base of people who regularly watch his videos. He probably has many things he plans on going into detail on later
Daniel, I would like to thank you for your videos. Your patience and ability to teach are impressive. The way you explain how to better understand the game and teach has helped me to improve a lot. Please continue with the great work!
