Danya got just a hint of worry on his face when the second guy took 3seconds to take back a piece two times in a row
@marcjohn9404
@marcjohn9404 3 года назад
On players panicking when they see a piece on their side of the board: I did when I was really low rated, but once I hit like 1200 or something it was more like my mouth would start watering when I saw a lone piece on my side of the board. I always look for tactics and development with tempo. I think I increased my confidence because so many low rated players are so aggressive and they move pieces into enemy territory and I just remember this one time where this guy played for one of those cheap 3 or 4 move checkmates and I just kept developing my pieces with tempo. I love when players go for that stuff.

Danya and John Bartholomew have such instructive content. I like to watch Hikaru just because I think it's good to watch really great players play and you can sometimes emulate them if you understand an idea, but none of those guys have content out there for free that you can easily watch that is anywhere near as instructive as this. I also just think that Danya has a great way of simplifying his thought process in a way that's very easy for me at least to understand. I'm loving that end game tutorial at the end of the video specifically and how you mention the idea of the rook playing check so that the king can guard the pawn. I need to start watching out for stuff like that, as it happens much more often than I'd like to admit in my own games.

In game 1 of this video, when it's asked about "Bishop takes Knight on G8". I was thinking- Prep that move first, with Queen D. C3. That way after Bishop takes. He either trades his rook for the bishop, or its mate in 1 with Queen F7

Jump with glee. They usually don't go all the way through taking your pawns because they feel like something is up, but if they take all the way, you get a very nice attacking posture with both bishops and the queen once you involve her.

Here it’s actually not that good, as queen takes a-file and threatens forking our very important b7 pawn and giving back rank mate. After taking rook e1 with check, we have no more useful checks and have to make some Luft for a king. On the next move, queen gives a check on a8 and takes b7 pawn As the result, we are still a pawn up, but now it’s harder to win this position

@Ayan Niaz that's because the rating of the bots is not very accurate
@sabriozgur4843
@sabriozgur4843 3 года назад
@Ayan Niaz I think playing against the bots that are set to specific rating is not a good idea. It would be great if you practice winning won positions against best bots, playing against the top engines with piece/pawn odds or playing the top engines directly. Rating levels are set according to humans so bots must play human-like but that is very hard concept to apply. So they program the bots to blunder randomly. Sometimes it blunders a piece, sometimes it does a suboptimal move which has MASSIVE difference.
