It's one of the cards i hate the most because nearly no deck can out it. At least code talkers are susceptible to spells and traps and Drytrons die to having enough effects to force through their board or a kaiju (altho it is also one of the worst to deal with), but this is just disgusting. Realistically the only thing that can play through that is Chain Burn because they don't summon and don't really need to out Rhonda

Getting to a field of 4 or more warriors isnt practical for most decks, they werent wrong. Whoever made Bamboozle without remembering this card existed must have been a tempt hire tho lol

Didnt matter in this case though b/c he popped the set card. -So if he swapped out some Kaiju's for 1-2 Share the Pain -or tech'd in some "cant be destroyed by battle" that still integrated into his combo -or ran SOME defensive cards like Q-Mirror Force so he didnt take dmg from the other 3 monsters he'd have had a chance with as much as he drew.
This is a perfect example of how Maxx C itself doesnt win you the game, you need other hand traps to make it the strongest it can be, playing though maxx c is easy if you can setup a board that can stop like 3-4 plays but when you have to do that while playing through 3 handtraps and a nibiru, good luck
I have to partly disagree with you on this particular example, since it's against Rongo and the guy has Kaijus in his hand that he DREW by the effect of Maxx C, where in 95% of all situations, a Kaiju will be USEFUL to get out of it. Rongo literally stops you from playing the game (Like, in every sense of it)
@@reneguimaraes9988 Rongo alone with 5 materials doesn't win games... You have to have cards to stop your opponent's other monsters. Rongo's weakness is floodgate trap/spell decks ( eldlich etc ). I already lost a few games taking raigeki/lightning storm with rongo 5-6 materials... Because my opponent cleared my field, only rongo and his set monster remained, and I had no follow up

Imperial Order, Ultimateness, and Rhongo wins game by default, most of the time people just scoop Most decks cant play at all. Yeah sure floodgates beats most combo decks anyway. doesnt mean Rhongo isnt OP. Its busted as hell.
@@levikekman5979 it's very often for rhongo to have 6 materials on it, mostly it's at 5 at most which will deduct to 4 once ur turn ends so he can't use the 5th effect of rhongo.
It's only a matter of time before people use Max C and the opponent special summons so many monsters that after a certain point they will not be able to draw and lose the game. I downloaded Master Duel, built a Gren Maju deck, and had a lot of fun. People were using so many different decks. Then I reached the platinum ranks. The first round of my opponents takes 10+ minutes. It's so boring that I probably won't play again. We desperately need a "speed mode" or something where you have to make your moves in 1 minute.
i wish duels didn't last 3 turns... i understand when you're trying to win you have to play the best cards, but a duel that only lasts 3 turns 'total' and feels like it boils down to whoever has the most negates or counter negates or got lucky with the best hand traps, doesn't feel like a duel to me. I want to duel but, it doesn't feel fun to me if my opponent doesn't have any chance to fight back or even play a card. and before people say "just play maxx c or ash blossom" you don't always get 1 or both of those cards, even with 3 of each, in your opening hand, and that often determines the fate of a duel.
Nothing more boring than 90% of people playing these kind of decks. It isn't even a game of skill, just proof of unoriginality. I don't get what people gain from it other than leveling up, is there any fun in not playing a deck that has cards you just like? What are they playing the game for? I'll just continue playing decks with things I actually like, not what's on some decklist online. Every now and then I find someone that actually wants to play the game and those are the most fun games win or lose

Not true, you just need to play more hand-traps and more importantly understand where to interupt your opponents combo lines. Lots of these decks have choke points where a single well placed ash or impermanence can end their turn. I have climbed to plat 1 on 2 accounts now and tbh, the varyiety of decks that I have seen in Plat is greater than any format I've played in at a regional, ycs or locals. I dont think I have had my opponent succesfully summon Rongo once, the only duels where I 'havent been able to play' is probably against ultimateness but that has only happened a couple times tbh, where I didnt open a kaiju or nibiru.

Sorry dude, the gacha argument does not work for hand-traps when you can make the cards and they give you UR fodder to make said cards at the start of the game. About the second point, that's why you're supposed to keep your deck at 40, it's called consistency, if you didn't get one your 9-12 negates out of 40 cards(1/4 or 25% odds) then you have bad luck, same result if you don't draw cards to start working towards your deck objective, stopping your opponent from playing Ultimateness or Rhongo is useless if you can't do shit in your turn anyway, that's called a brick, so you can't blame hand-traps for your shitty luck/lack of knowledge about WHEN to negate in a combo. Finally, addressing the deck variety in Platinum, kinda true but not for the reasons you expect, most of the time if you fight someone in ranks 5-2 they will be using one of the meta decks, but Plat 1 players will not, this is because you can't fall in rank when you get to Plat 1, so Plat 5-2 use meta to get to Plat 1 and then switch to their actual decks, the result is Platinum decks being mostly the same, but when they are not? you find some of the biggest deck variety in the game.

To be fair, 15 years ago the game wasn't fair too lol. Look on Yata-Lock before it was banned, Imperial Order, most of the strongest/unfair cards are one of the first in the game
Drytron players are the worst. They’re so brain dead I’ve seen them try to do a combo and timed it for longer than 10 min. Just to summon something you can’t break so I leave.

I find it funny that modern YGO does in 50 interactions what standard/modern MTG decks manage in like 5-10. Still winning by turn 2 or 3 but it doesn't take an entire sit-down to walk through the combo.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say MTG is better. I hate modern and standard too, having a grand old time with EDH though when everyone agrees to a power level.
and one of the only ways to out it once it hits the field is with "Herald of the Abyss" which is ironic you obviously start by declaring warrior and dark, this is because it works like evenly matched, the opponent is forced to sent it therefore it still kills rhongo even though it's unaffected, also the only reason evenly matched doesn't work is they choose to keep the rhongo. one downside with "Herald of the Abyss" is they have to only control the rhongo because if they have another dark warrior they would just send that, well less experienced players may just think well rhongo is unaffected so i will just apply the effect on him then they lose rhongo and surrender. but yeah "Herald of the abyss" has the capacity to out it just not guaranteed

People used Gemini Elf for 2000 attack, Swords of Revealing Light, Mirror Force or Trap Hole to protect their monster for the tribute summon summoned skull, or change of heart to tribute their opponent's monster. At a more casual level where you didn't have everything, the low level super high defense monsters were a decent substitute.
I don't mind number 86 being a card. No, it's fine. What bullshit is the fact that it only requires FOUR materials to negate summons (which basically means you can't play the game). Those decks that run him can get like 2-3 xyzs out per turn so if they go first it means they technically already won.
rhongo will detach 1 material after ur turn, so if i have a monster u can set one up and hope to survive, VE and skill drain are much easier to set up than rhongo so i hated it more than rhongo
Try playing against phantom knights. Throw like 2-3 handtraps and they still get a 4 mats 86 out. Also you can't just draw HT everytime you start a match. You could say the same thing to spell removal but at least with shit like skill drain you still have a way to remove it, if you go second vs 86 wtf are you gonna do?

@XemnasNoHeart: they are other way out a kaju, lava golem, Sphere mode, since people don't put that in their deck, and even if they did, they don't have the patient to wait and stall, and beside your more likely get Otk next turn because whatever you set up gets destroyed. That is why it is banned in TCG advance, for somereason OCG did not that banned that card.
Sorry to break it but.... Rhongo says "No Normal & Special Summon" --> You can only set. --> Special Summons : Kaiju, Lava Golem, Volcanic Queen, Santa Claws are OUT --> Normal Summons : Ra Sphere Mode (Ra text says cannot normal set, so its OUT as well)
The Fact that Rhongo is at three, but ABC is at 1, shocks me Like think about it fully. A card that's immune to card effects, battle and also Locks opponent out of Normal/Special Summons Is at 3. While a Quick Effect Pop with a cost and returns materials used for it on a quick effect, an effect which Zoodiac has without cost while not returning materials, is at 1. I got my six sam deck from a website( im relatively new to yugioh so i suck at building decks but im getting there) so this explains why Rhongo the bongo was in the deck(this was my first contact with Rhongo) Curiously, the deck i use now, an "evolution" of that six sam deck, doesn't require me to bring him out, i pretty much use him as a last resort
It's more the state of yugioh plays in general thats busted than Rhongo itself. Dude was able to summon out a field of 3 monsters, a pop, and one "You cant summon" 3k beat stick on board too. If all he got was a normal summon and 1 special it wouldnt be that bad
Rhongo is only banned in tcg, irl yugioh in ocg is different, believe it or not rhongo turbo didn't actually get much top here because everyone who tried got nibiru'd or stopped by tons of floodgates.
I know y'all don't want to hear it but that's why you main deck multiple handtraps (ash, maxx c, imperm, ogre ..) It's not cool because it automatically reduces the size of your engine but if you want to have a chance to win going 2nd nowadays you have to With a solid engine, 8 - 9 handtraps, 3 - 4 board breaking cards (dark ruler, droplet) you can handle the meta decks

why people always downgrading those decks. Dragonmaids or evil twins while not meta is still pretty strong and probably super consistant than any rogue deck. Sure its not on drytron, eldich, or you name it level but you can still get to highest ranking without that much sweat for a non tier 0 deck.
Not even exaggerating, I've had people on multiple occasions take literally 10 minutes on their turns, I remember one duel I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone, and ordering food, went to the bathroom and even after all that this dude was still busting out combos and summoning like crazy on his first turn! Lol Dueling is a joke these days

AD is a normal rarity but hasnt made it through final cut of my Master Duel decks. My opponent summoned Number 86 with 5 materials, which prevents me of summoning ANY monsters. His monster is also unaffected by other card effects, so I can't out it with any card. The only way I maybe could have won is by drawing Nibiru, but I didn't😑

They did it cause no one played traps in any significant capacity. Unless it was completely broken or one of the rare staples, Trap cards were just to slow to play in the modern day meta. You just can't risk the investment of setting a card down and waiting a turn when it could be destroyed and rendered useless a heartbeat later. This was done so that people actually started using the damn things.
No because he is not affected by other cards effect. Thus his effects cannot be negated. You either have to prevent your opponent from summoning him (like by using nibiru right when he comes out) or wait and hope your opponent cannot kill you before rhongo loses his 4th and 5th effects.
You just have to be able to deal with his other monsters... Like raigeki, lightning storm or decks with trap/spell floodgates can "stop" rongo. Because if u have 1 set monster and the oponent only have rongo in board he will never win. A deck with good handtraps can deal with rongo, using effect veiler, skull meister, impermanence, gamma in the right time, when he activates Bardiche for example... If the guy in the video had one of these handstraps instead of the kaiju, he would have won the game with maxx c

In the current meta there don’t exist any competitive pendulum deck. You could watch someone like Trif Gaming for some decent deck profiles, but don’t trust his clickbait titles saying that pendulum is tier 0.

So: master duel gives you a special go to bundle deal, pick up solemn judgment. A lot of your opponent’s plays tend to have a point where if a certain move doesn’t go through their turn is fucked. Solemn judgment is really good at preventing that stuff. Let’s say your opponent is playing @ignister, and they’re climbing up the link ratings and then they hit their link 6 the arrival Cyberse. Very very powerful card if its summon lands. Solemn judgment let’s your opponent invest their resources into making it, but also negates the summon and sends it to grave (the fact that it is unaffected by card effects does not matter for solemn judgment). The cost may be high, but in modern games you sometimes need to prevent your opponent’s momentum more than you need your life points.
@@thebigandlazyguy246 If you go second in master duel chances are you’re going to lose as most decks are built to go first and build an oppressive board. You could say run a certain quantity of hand traps, but if you don’t draw those hand traps in your opening hand, you’re going to lose. Even then 1-2 normal hand trap negates (ash, veiler, imperm) can’t stop most competent decks past Gold 1. Now there are much better hand traps like maxx C, droll & lockbird, and Nibiru which have much larger consequences for your opponent’s turn as a whole and are strong enough that they could end up winning you the game. Judgment isn’t as consistently online as ash, but it massively shifts the game in your favor whereas ash doesn’t unless it is used against very specific cards. Not to mention ash is a very dead top deck when you’re down in card advantage. Which you most certainly are going to be if you’re going second.
imagine pk needs a lot of resources to set up bamboozling and rhongo, the key is u have to interrupt bamboo to attach it self to rhongo or prevent bardiche effect so he can't make his combo, i play the deck so i know it's weakness while dragoon just need 2, monster make verte and i had an instant dragoon. dragoon is much much easier to bring out than rhongo imo

I literally went 20+ and 0 with rhongo. Straight from rookie to platinum without dropping a single game. The deck hard loses to veiler, imperm, gamma, or nib though. Maxx c and ash really don’t matter unless it draws into one of the above
