After testing both, I settled on the foam tips for running, as they ensured a more secure fit for slightly longer than silicon. They still didn't stop them from working themselves loose when exercising.

I’d be curious as to what you would recommend in their place? My MW07 are better than any other earbuds I’ve ever tried. I just bought the 08 sports but recently returned the Sonys and the Bose. Neither was close to the sound quality. I only wish they were more well known. Not every set is going to be defective like yours. I dropped one of mine into 3 feet of water for 8 minutes. After dried it worked fine. I think they are BIG TIME.

Of course I speak from personal experience here! My use case and the use case of others in office work don’t necessarily demand 10-12 hours listening time on one charge. Reducing this reduces the weight - making them much better for exercise!

I bought the PI7, Beoplay EQ and MW08. I sent the PI7 and Beoplay back for a refund because their sound signature wasn’t to my liking. To my ears, the MW08 sound the best. They have such a rich, warm, wide soundstage with tight, clean, thunderous bass. They look gorgeous and have a premium build quality. Also, the battery life is insane! World class sounding buds

As non-sport earbuds? No. Stick to the original.

@@MelloHubb none,Bose and Sony are at the top of the piramide. Just bought a pair of b&o eq because of the sound…anc is ok

I’m yet to try them. In my own experience, these are the best sounding earbuds, but I am keen to get my hands on some xm4s! Hearing so much good stuff about them!

It's funny how we all hear things differently. I've had the WF-1000XM4 for several weeks now and I don't like it nearly as much as I like the Sennheiser MTW2 and definitely not as much as the new B&O Beoplay EQ which I received last week. I tweaked the XM4's EQ as well to the best of my liking but I just don't like the overall sound. The Beoplay EQ sounds so much clearer with a much wider and deeper soundstage and greater separation between the instruments. Not even close. The only areas the XM4 wins is in ANC and the wider range of features in the app. I'm going to give the MW08 Sport a try to satisfy my curiosity and maybe complement the Beoplay EQ but I'm pretty sure I'll end up selling the MTW2 and the XM4.

@@alexkhan2000 My sound amazing. I saw two separate videos on the EQ settings. And when I did that. Omg. What huge difference. I know the B&O EQ are gonna be my next purchase. I saw Flossy do a video on them last week. They are his new #1. Wish I could send you pics of the EQ settings so you can try them

@@stevewatrous7994 I'm a musician and have been in the music industry for over 30 years so I'm pretty adept at using the EQ. The EQ can change the tonality somewhat but cannot change the inherent sound signature of an audio device. I did not like the default flat EQ setting of the XM4 at all so I tweaked the EQ to my liking, which involved reducing the bass and low-mids by a lot and slightly boosting the mids and high-mids and keeping the treble flat. I tried all kinds of other settings too but that's not going to change the overall resolution, soundstage width and depth, imaging and separation between the instruments, which are characteristics I value very highly. I think the XM4 is a very good sounding ANC set of earbuds. For rock, pop, metal, hip-hop and EDM, it's fine. I mainly listen to classical, jazz, acoustic, ambient, vocal (choral, opera, etc.) and soundtrack kinds of stuff that benefit from an expansive soundstage and highest possible resolution to reveal subtleties and nuances and I found the XM4's overall sound signature just isn't to my liking. I'm sure some people will prefer the XM4 over the Beoplay EQ or the B&W PI7. We all hear things differently.
