This English lesson about fundamental contractions in the language is quite important for any English learner because that's how native speakers use them in real life and is essentially practical and powerful to have some getting used to. Thanks for the full lesson on contractions, Vanessa! Native speakers speak with contractions all the time and getting practice on this skill is important! It's interesting how "We are" = We're and "We are not" = We aren't! The contraction happens differently 😮‍💨

Hi Vanessa I appreciate this lesson. I understood what contractions are, now I think I can sometimes distinguish whether people are saying positive or negative contractions. But I personally thought when I was watching this lesson when you started explaining "won't". First I thought it was "want". But it wasn't. Could you let me know how I can differentiate these 2 words? I understand these 2 are completely different for native speakers. But to me, they are the same ones😭😭
