This is a quick walk through what Master EQ can do for your sound when playing Yamaha Genos Keyboard. The feature can colour your sound to suit your personal taste.
Hi Leigh,I am appreciating your tutorials so much, I'm now 90 and your clear tutorials are so right for me. I am a new user of genos and its just great to get your thoughts and demos please keep it up. I'm an old Aussie muso from wayback and Genos has brightened up my life once again. Thank you .
Thank you for putting this video on Leigh, it is most informal, just like all your other videos. Hopefully i can now set my EQ up a lot easier. xx mick.🎉
Hi Leigh, I am waiting to take delivery of my Genos 2 and would like to say how clear and informative you make your videos. Looking forward to upgrading from SX900. Thank you.
@@LeighWilbraham Sorry to trouble you but when I play your video of converting Genos to organ, for the first 4 minutes or so there is no audio. Could you help please?
I have been through the EQ's and I tried a couple of notes and sure enough I couldn't make my mind up for a stronger and louder sound, so, after trying to make my mind up I went to the bright not because of you but it did seem the right option at this point in time. I get a little frustrated at going to my Genos Manual only to be directed to the Function List, by the time I get on the PC and seeing it has over 100 pages, decided to just print the lists out and go from there but as usual very time consuming.
Leigh I have at last altered the EQ and am amazed at the difference it has made, thank you for these wonderful explanatory videos. I have like you for many years had organs, the last one being a Technics GA3 but about twelve years ago it packed up and I could not restart it so I sold it for spares and purchased a Tyros 5 which I had for a further six years until I recently changed it for a Genos. I saw your vid about a SX900 but I would not change for my Genos as I found the instruments sounded a bit tinny. best wishes Ron Kendall.
Leigh - Very informative demonstration. Have never gotten to this before. I like your fav. It does have warmth and sparkle. Would you also go to that piano voice and tweak it further or not bother? I just added a mic to my rig and wondered if you have any tutorials that specifically deal with those settings? I am playing native american style flute through the mic and particularly want to enhance reverb. Does your patreon have a lot more tutorials? You seem to be the only Genos user extremely well versed in the arranger. Thanks for any additional help and direction.
Thanks Leigh ! I never knew this existed ! I agree with your assessment that the Genos is the premium instrument on the market. I just wished I knew how to utilize all of its wonder. These videos certainly help. Could you do one on Style Creator developing your own drum grooves and styles or how to record the Genos as MIDI on your DAW ? Thanks !
Having a ton of fun listening Leigh. If you are on say a small stage, playing for a number of people do you use the same settings or would the difference in location of the audience and the size of the room/hall etc be a cause to change a personal setting?
Dear Leigh, thanks for a very useful description of the EQ settings. I like your videos very much. I remember that a few years ago (actually, around 10 years ago, I think) you had a composition of yours that you called "seasons". I loved very much hearing it and I liked very much the way you played it. You playd the Tyros4 and another, older keyboad for the violins. That video of yours made me buying my Tyros 4, as that keyboard has such a wonderful instruments sounds. Later I replaced it with the Genos, but since then, I don't find that theme in your channel. I remember that the melody was realy beautiful. Is there a way to hear it again on your channel? Anyway, thanks again for sharing all those great tutorials of yours.
