French numbers are my kryptonite 😭 I'm so slow in understanding them, especially everything after 70. Like, I know how to say every number, but when someone says them to me it takes me forever to realize what number was pronounced. First I need to translate it into my language, and then I can make the number appear in my head lol. I probably need more practice. I'll try to translate every price in french when I go grocery shopping, maybe it'll help with that.

Numbers take time to learn. I struggled a lot as well in English. Keep listening to this video, keep practicing saying the numbers with me, like 2/3 times a week at least. Then with time, once you know them by heart, you won't need to translate them in your head anymore, and it will get easier and easier to understand them when someone say them. Be patient and practice! 🫶✨

For me, numbers are just words you have to learn by heart, that's all! What's your biggest difficulty with the French language, Jim?

@@LearnFrenchwithLexie I would have to say, the oral side, I have alot more confidence reading and writing, but listening is so hard for me! Just back from a week away for d-day landings as I do every year and was frustrated with my listening skills! I will go back next month and try again! J'essaie! 3 à 4 cours par semaine

@@jimpaterson9635 Listening skills are something you can and must develop on your own. It takes time. One of the mistakes I see beginners make is that they work on their listening skills by playing French content in the background. This doesn't work. As a beginner, you need to do some active listening, and I explain in more detail how to do this in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vukj-G3WKqw.html
