I'm loving your videos! I teach English (ESL) and teach the very same methods, mouth position, the shape, the position of the tongue and teach EXAGGERATION as a way to build the necessary muscle building to master the sounds quickly! I absolutely love your videos and teaching style and methods! Excellent!!!

You're definitely right about the similar spellings as it's so easy to be caught out by them. One thing I think helps me is to play video games with the french dub and subtitles. I might not understand a lot of the dialogue but it helps to associate the sounds with the french spellings. Music with the lyrics on screen helps too. And of course watching awesome tutorials on youtube like yours! :D P.S. If anyone is looking for a beginner friendly French language show on youtube with the actual french subtitles there is a sitcom called Extra French. It was made specifically for learners and it's fun to watch too.

Oh my goodness. This is great and I have been looking for this kind of help for a while. I knew there had to be something about position of the mouth. I would like to see more videos on pronunciation as I have been listening to French music which can get frustrating as I am not a complete newbie but not mid level either. Thanks for lessons.

Learing the accurate peronunciation and accent in Frech in really really dificult, HOWEVER learing other accents and pronunciations is equally dificult for native French speaker! It is like you either have a perfect French accent and a strong accent when speaking other languages or vice versa!

What makes it so difficult is that French is not a phonetic language. What I mean is: it's not because you can read it that you can pronounce it. But, by shadowing native speakers while reading the subtitles, you will get there slowly by slowly 💪
