Actually, Bellas uses directional picking. Which basically is economy picking but will utilize alternate picking between strings when the scale dictates as such (the transition between acending and descending). Economy/Speed picking will change the amount of notes on the string at the transition points to keep a strict up-down motion when changing strings. Usually, on 3 note per string scales, the string on which the transition to ascending/descending occurs only has two notes to achieve this.

@manuorchestra Neapolitan 6th, is a first inversion major chord based off the flattened second degree of a major or minor scale. In E minor, the N6 would be F/A, it normally leads to ic or V.

Economy picking and speed picking are the same thing, speed picking was called that way after "Monster Licks and Speed Picking" by Frank Gambale, he called it speed picking instead of economy picking for marketing purposes... Anyway yes, he is economy-picking! Economy picking is great, a scientific and efficient manner to approach the problem of fast picking...
