There’s a few different ways to tie the humpy, but this technique to me yields the best looking result and also wastes the least materials. Awesome tutorial!

It’s crazy how many ways there are to tie just about every fly. I do a very similar thing but in reverse…starting with the wings, thinning the butt ends out a bit, building the underbody then using the butt ends to create the hump. I feel that using the same clump of hair for the wings and the hump just makes for less hassle…
