Hello Sir, it’s really helpful and detailed video on IAM . Thanks a lot for giving the guidance specially for beginners. 😊 I am working in service desk and want to switch my carrier in IAM Profile but not sure from where to start or which tool/technology should I learn 😢
This is very informative. As someone looking to pivot into IAM, this is good especially with all the domains. Currently, I'm working in the commercial real estate industry with additional responsibility as an administrator handling all access requests for tenants in 5 properties. As an administrator for the physical access control system, I program/activate and deactivate key fobs/credentials, monitoring access logs etc. I have skills in credential management, event tracking, user account creation, device scheduling etc. With all this background and experience, how does it apply to Identity and Access Management (IAM)??
Yes you can transition over to Access Management where you can look after Authentication, Protecting devices using MFA, Federation. All these background will help you know the underlying design of how authentication on physical layers work and you can use the knowledge to manage authentication, authorization for workforce employees and customers. Happy to get over a call and help . You can use this to setup one with me calendly.com/why-not-iam
Good explanation of various career paths within IAM. I've never seen a video where someone explains this very clearly. Thanks for putting this video out. I've been working in L1/L2 CyberArk support for 2 years and would like to transition to the IAM developer route. Where do I start? Can you please guide me through?

Could you explain to me what IAM cybersecurity involves? I've been watching RU-vid channels, but I'm still unsure about what specific skills or knowledge I need to focus on if I want to pursue a career in IAM, particularly in tools like Octa or SailPoint.
Iam working as senior business analyst in IAM with knowledge on Application audit review and identify control gaps and remediation the gaos found. So what certification or next step I can do to enhance my career
This is so clear. Thank you. I'm not working as a Junior CSEC consultant and working in IAM, supervising and administrating Siteminder, as well as migrating data from IBM to CA (main activity as of now). It could be that in the future there'll be other kind of jobs in different areas. What do you suggest? I guess I'm doing alright... But feeling like I should do more. What do you suggest as a path? Thank you!
Hello Yes there will be jobs in different areas as well, but core would be the same. you can be an expert in one area of the IAM domain and go about learning similar tools, and then gradually go over other tools as well so that you can aspire for roles like Manager,Specialist and Architects. Happy to go over your query. Feel free to book a time using this calendly.com/why-not-iam
