Wot a vicious looking carving disc on the grinder!!!...and home made guard too. Arbortech is scary enough! Clever guy. I used to do a lot of chainsaw carving when i was younger. I think a smaller lighter chainsaw, and the log raised up off the ground a bit would be a lot less tiring. Respect to these carvers : )
@@jeremys5904 really? Are you sure? That's pretty cool!if you can't get an arbortech or similar, i guess you gotta get creative and use what you can! They must have welded on an m14 nut to spin it on the grinder? : )
No im not 100% sure but it does look like a 3/4" bore shaper cutter to me. There is no internal threads if you notice the worker slip on the cutter and then thread on the lock nut just like you would on a 4 1/2" angle grinder.
@@jeremys5904 you're right about the threads, now I've taken a closer look. And it looks like a manufactured cutter too. But...using something like that freehand must take a certain knack!
It's very beautiful, you are a talented craftsman. I would love to have one of everything you make. I live in Philippines so am not so far away but don't think they will fit in my suitcase.
You should try to ship these, one of my aunt's payed around $1000 for a similar design from a local boutique store. Up until I saw this video I thought she had a work of art, but it's junk compared to this!
As a former chainsaw carver, i know that a looser chain helps with carving with the tip of the bar...but perhaps his chain is looser than it needs to be for what he's doing! : )
Absolutely breathtaking artistry. Words are hard to describe them, because they are Unique, Aesthetic and Magnificently Pleasing to the Eyes, Mind and Soul. Thank you all for your Creativeness.
Production line art!The art of making money for the boss. These artists probably get about $10 a day and the boss makes a killing.Still they are very talented.
Not everyone is born with a silverspoon and circumstances matter. I bet if it were u there's is nothing u cld build. these guys are making do with what they have and never worrying abt what they do not have
Самое обидное что работяги то херню получат а одна такая хреновина стоить не хреново будет, а самое ржачное что это предложение иностранец хрен переведет
they admired that and spoke about price and costs. That theese workers will get very small salary for this job but their "master" will be rich)) It's about russian and ukranian inferiority complexes)
Amazing human skills but dangerous! This furniture factory needs to invest in a machine that can be programmed to make the cuts with the chainsaw on all four sides of a beam of a given diameter (even if humans rotate the beam on its sides). In addition what is not obvious is the fact that they are using young trees only which could lead to deforestation: imagine Christmas trees being harvested every day of the year. Back to the danger of cutting your toes, specially when the ground is littered with small pieces of wood trying to trip you while you are wearing soft shoes. My suggestion is to make a base that will allow you to use any branch of a tree that has a diameter large enough to be sculpted that way. After the cuts are made the sculpted sections will be attached to the heavy base. here are ideas for the base: used car tires with cement placed inside. Plastic base in the shape of the base of a tree, filled with water or sand.( like patio umbrella bases filled with water). Cylindrical logs that have a diameter larger than the top. These larger logs could be sculpted to look like the base of small trees as well. As is, the hangers look like they could be toppled by a single heavy wet coat. For this reason I will suggest a base in the shape of half of a cement sphere with the sculpted wood top inserted in the top of the cement dome (or plastic dome filled with sand or water. Long live small trees!
Show me the tree farm that is supplying this jungle factory. I know about rubber tree farms, maple syrup tree farms, Christmas tree farms etc. What is the name of the tree farm that I should have heard about? Were trees planted years before the video was published or after the video was published? How many years does it take before the trees are big enough to be sculpted. Give me the facts. I am not convinced about your tree farm claims.
The product looks good. Now that the world has seen the video and appreciated the skill of the sculptor, demand could expand exponentially. I have not yet made up my mind about wanting a tree hanger. But someone who like the product could decide to invest in mass producing them. Without patent protection, anything can happen assuming increasing demand.
aquiu no brasil deveria ser a mesma coisa ai dar ocupaçao pra molecada noia desse jeito ai talvez nao seriam tao inuteis como sao aqui isso e exemplo para muitos paises
I am also impressed check how much wood is wasted and a whole tree chopped for the show piece the last part of the video shows there are many such master art piece of crap chopped trees used for this and for what purpose ??? Use this wisely guys build somebodys home with that wood will help some one at least sad really sad.. I wonder what are all NGOs doing have they forgot climate change and deforestation....
@@Arien_People sir.. I respect all art form and I must say that is definitely a great piece of work .... I am sorry if my comment has hurt anyone here.. just a piece of advice there is lot of waste that is going down there on that log itself if you are no using that saw dust why don't you plan something about it make maximum use of wood is all I say... Make some particle board with all that saw dust and come up with some design or art there .... just a thought... Thanks
Jasfras1 Not really. As it was the tree wasn’t cut down. It had fallen. You can tell that by the roots that got cut off. So instead of rotting wherever it was. It got turned into something beautiful and functional.
navcop031 .... My original comment was a matter of personal opinion and was a bet or educated guess. I possibly should have said 'dug up' as opposed to chopped down. Thank you for correcting me on that. I'm still not entirely sure they were all dead at the time, judging by the way the wood carves. It seems very green. Your recent comment assumes that these many small trees had all died for some reason and found in the nick of time before they started to rot. This seems unlikely to occur at the numbers to keep these highly skilled and well practised guys busy. They didn't get that good in a week. By the way, how do you tell that they had all fallen down ? Your personal opinion is that you assert, 'it looks even better now' than it did as a tree. We don't have a before and after example to decide this for sure. You are, of course, allowed to have your personal opinion.
