I’m 39 I remember buying this at Sam Goody’s at the mall before going from Detroit to Alabama to stay w my family for the summer. This was a hard song/cd and that TRU double CD was hot at that time too, bone thugs Creepin on a come up and East 1999,Pac J bought all eyez on me at blockbuster lol hell yeah them old school days I remember the first two cassettes I ever got was Black Sunday Cyprus Hill and Doggystyle Snoop. I was always into hip hop/alternative/classic rock/ I love good music but people that know about this song are def Bout it bout it lol💯
Treach has a song called mourn you till I join you that was pretty good but this one is definitely my favorite esp because he sampled Pac and his beat 🫡
This is such an underrated song and definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves. Same with Master P. Such a genius rapper and song writer. Certainly one of the best of his time.
I really think Master P did more than any person in rap history to push underground sounds in to the mainstream. No Limit dominated the industry for longer than any other independent label.
This is one of the greatest commemorative rap bangers of all time..P spit fire 🔥 on this cut! I remember cruising around in my low rider in 97 right before I got locked up..When this song dropped I smoked a blunt and felt the energy of 2pac’s kingship over Rap and hip hop.2pac was and is the greatest hip hop artist of all time..2pac was a legend and a prophet! 2pac owned the streets and the sound of “All Eyez On Me” and Makaveli dominated the rap world from 96 until eternity
Im 39 years old & the first time i heard this i was in th3 passenger seat of my big brother dodge neon. He put this cd 💿 in and put this 🔥 track on with the four 12's he had in his trunk. I was like " damn whats the name of this song 🎵" and he said R.I.P TUPAC and i been blasting it ever since😎💪🏾
I remember when my father brought this album home for me. He said some guy was selling a stack of CD's at the train station and out of all he chose this one. Sheeet!, this was when I was in Jr. High. Thanks Dad!
This was the best musical purchase I ever made. It was my first indroduction to Master P and no limit. And I bought every No Limit CD the day they came out after that. We will never see anything like No Limit again
Not many artists paid respect to Pac when he passed. One of the most underrated tributes to him was by Bootleg of the Dayton Family. It's called "Sophisticated Thugs." That shit is a classic!
STOP EMBARRASSING YOURSELF SWEETIE!! YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT (Eminem???)..... YOU DO REALIZE THIS IS A REAL SONG RIGHT???.. (Eminem was still slapping his Mom around up & down 8th Mile) WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT
The 90s where wild in California , these lyrics was the feeling in streets for real …i saw a shirt that said “i grew up in the 90s and survived”.. props to Master P
P was the first to make a r.i.p song for pac right after he died i remember i had this cut on a str8 up gansgsta sh#t mixtape. '97 r.i.p Pac god gotcha now no more pain!;)
First time hearing this song and it freaking slaps hard. Love this. Wondering why I never heard this song before growing up listing to P since 7th grade, I’m 39 now.
P (who actually knew and toured with Pac) made the best tribute song to em'. Everyone else at the time was scared to say anything in fear of retaliation. All them Death Row people and no one did one song to the man, Smdh. Salute P.
Ughhhh ! I just remembered this song!!! Master P.. the real street Legend. Rest in Peace to 1 of the best Poets and most ironic Rappers in the 🌎. still. 2 Pac.
@ninjae4976 Master P was a multi millionaire when he made this song. He didn't need to do this for fame or money. According to Pac's mother, he died in debt with hardly any money in the bank or assets in his name. Master P owned his own record label with several artists and parlayed that into other businesses.
Rip The Jacka, Rip Pac, Rip Mac Dre, Rip Biggie, Rip Soulja Slim, Rip Johnny Ca$h, Rip, Rip Pimp C, Rip Ol Dirty Bastard, Rip Alliyah, Rip Lisa Left Eye Lopez, Rip Killa Kiease, Rip King Freako, Rip Martin Luther King, Rip JFK, Rip Jesus Rip Ghandi Rip Mother Theresa Rip The truth that we aren't told about our history, who we are and why we here Rip to our constitution of what this country was meant to stand for. Here's to the future tho with an open mind and an open heart. let's wake up and do things better for the future of our species.
Your comment is a little disrespectful .. How can anyone leave out the God Father of gangsta rap. Ice T even says he feels it's disrespectful when anyone try to say he's the godfather of gangsta rap. He knows if not for the godfather of gangsta rap. There might of never been an Ice-T.
Will always be sad to know P wanted Pac to come join TRU before his death :( 2PAC was really special to me and so many other fatherless young black men of the 90s era. r.i.p.
master p will this is the man made the way for all raper to get money 75 M TAPES SOLD Master p had a 80% 20% contract with 100% of No Limit Record ownership Master p Music and his creativity to change the music game is Phenomenal THE ICE CREAM MAN
