I'm a 21 yr old black man and it breaks my heart how low we've fallen . We hate positivity and information, we love gossip and messy shit . We shiton everybody who tries to enlighten us . Y'all called Styles P wife ugly because she doesn't look like a super model? Light skin, fake ass, jewelry etc . We're programmed to hate ourselves and we continue to do it . Talk bad about women that look like our mothers, call intelligent black men lame and unimportant . When will it stop ?
Master P is solid, what he's done as a business man entrepreneurially stemming from making music is legendary status. He should be getting way more credit.
Gerardson Philippe exactly! He's done so much across the board he would've had so much knowledge to drop on Kodak, Kodak should've been glad to pay that man 1.5k.
Master P is OG for a reason, I knew once the story dropped I knew Kodak would be wrong because his foundation ain't right, P wants us black brothers in the game to be where he is... But the youth don't wanna listen and are ok with being used by others who are out to rob them #StayWoke
Man that nigga P taught me and my cousin the game in the 90's. Everything that he said about spotting fake friends, that hustling life and etc. was right on point!
I feel like Master P, Jay, Puff, Russell Simmons, 50, and Dame Dash could be professors. Imagine if they let ego's go and joined forces. Not a record label, but like a consulting firm or something.
Kodak done messed it up for the rest of the people who could have been mentored by master p for free.. this man smart I would love for him to Mentor me
HUTCHI _ Cause he says stupid shit. And he always fighting for the younger generation to fit in. Dissing older rappers like he ain't almost 30 his damn self
the crazy part is that he defended master p and said that black people always have a problem paying black people and not white people which is the same thing master p said
If you're a rich black entertainer, athlete or any type of celebrity you need to employ ONLY black lawyers, managers and everything in between. Stop paying these others good money when you can pay your own people good money. There's enough experienced black folks that can help you.
lol I'm African American y'all just selfish men stop living in this world where everything gotta be black people vs every other race take care of your family if you in a position to help other then do it besides race men
Master P spoke straight facts, that's why I commend Lebron James for getting these major deals and then keeping his friends close like Rich Paul, and Mav and even Frank they all have a piece of his business and he can trust them. We grow up looking to outside sources when we can just look around the people we grow up with all have something they are good and you just have to be that type of leader to bring it out of them.
So yes that would be ideal but he is definitely not a slave, slaves don't get paid and they definitely don't make upwards of 400 million dollars. The mindset that BBB is great but Lebron, Kobe, Steph, KD was the spark for that although that has nothing to do with the conversation of employing your own people, that's a conversation for another day, I never saw a house built from the attic down. I am sure you have to lay a foundation but thanks for the argument the conversation sparks ideas in the youth.
"Lebron would be a million times more powerful" you're making blanket statements I respect where you're coming from but theirs a process to substantial wealth you just don't say hey I am LeBron and create your own company, There are 43 million black people and 150 million white people to whom own a large amount of the countries wealth, just understand Rome wasn't built in a day. On another note you're still off topic this conversation is about bringing up the friends around you and not outsourcing your money to people in different communities hence Jewish managers and lawyers, Indian doctors, spread the wealth throughout your community by being a leader in your community. Don't use the word if you don't know the meaning slaves don't get paid, give me your best advice to make 400 million by yourself without any white people involved? then call someone a slave we can't change history but what we can do is push for an accelerated future. Focus on self and not the "white man" because you will never win that battle.
Much respect for Master P. Truly a great person. Out of respect, 360 degrees out you back where you started. 180 degrees turns you around. FYI and no disrespect.
Man. Master P is a really awesome guy. He's actually trying to change something. Definitely an inspiration. It is funny that he sounds like he's crying when he talks 😂. Great interview
NO rappers were ever in Wall Street Journal, Fortune magazine, etc. before Master P got there. Can you imagine a gold mouth southern rapper turning the world on its head to become the richest hip hop ANYTHING in the game????? None the less all this happening in the mid 90's. Two words....slept on. Now his newest music.....ummm, I will just stay in the past ;)
My opinion, I just think she knows of people, I don't believe that they are necessarily her friend, she just knows of situations that are discussed. Sometimes I do that, I sometimes say I have a friend and then say not my friend, someone I know...
I love P man...he is a legend and very conscious he's street & business smart. He been in this game for so long. His story of how he did everything on his own is genius. S/o to Solange tho cuz she really put a lot of us back on to P by listening to the Master P clips on her album!
I don't understand why people say he's washed up. He's sustained his businesses for over 20 years. Because he's not on top of the charts, doesn't mean he's washed up.
I'm sure Lil Wayne still loaded though, and he has a proper brain in his head, he ain't stupid. But loyalty made him stick with that con man Baby for so long.
district 8 soundz Uh do your homework my friend lol, Wayne is MORE than straight with his money fam 💯 Although he’s not gonna have a chance to truly enjoy it if he’s constantly in and out of a codeine induced seizure lol 😂😐
Honestly, if Master P wants to write a book on contracts (what to look out for) for athletes, music artist, tv talent, freelancers, etc I would buy it.
Worst year of my life: I lost my girl, I lost my car, I found out I wasn't graduating on time because I need another semester, my parents in and out the hospital and our finances been struggling
That's not equivalent brother .. not knocking on your statement my brother, Master P innovated the Rap Industry.. The first artist to have an independent deal where he received 80% of everything earned. This was before Jay and Roc aFella. He sent a trend for the industry.. shout-out to everyone getting they own money now though and not getting robbed by white business executives.
The only true self-made millionaires James Prince, and Master P.. the only two black men with independent record labels.. there's no one else that does what they do.. not even Russell Simmons...
When you REALLY got money, you can ball up a Versace jacket throw it in a dirty chair then sit on the jacket in the chair JUST to show off a co Ed minor league t-shirt that cost $3 like Master P just did.

I have been following P since the mid to late 90's always kept it real.I just watched episode of when he was a guest on the breakfast club when he speaks I listen he's full of wisdom.
Personally, 2017 has been horrible for me, and I'm still going through it! Still trying to keep my head up, stay positive! However, I'll be the first to toast to this crazy year. Shout out to all y'all! Stay woke!
