Thank you for the video. Question; what about iGPU? Have an 7950X3D for example. Are the steps all the same?

Great video. The problem i am having is that upon reboot the nvidia-smi command tells me that it cannot find the nvidia driver. Is there any fix for this?

Hi @lpacolli - Make sure all the drivers were blacklisted correctly when editing the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file. It sounds like one of those may be causing an issue. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

Hey! Awesome explanation 😊. Question. Does it works if my Proxmox is running on an old Mac 2011 with integrated GPU?😢

Hi @blemysh0 - Thanks for the feedback. To check if it will work on a Mac with an integrated GPU, you need to identify your GPU. Go into the shell of the Proxmox node (not a VM) and type 'lspci'. This command will display all PCI devices on the machine. If the integrated GPU is an NVIDIA card then I would think this guide would work. You can test it with a new VM. If it doesn't work, you can simply delete the VM and then revert the changes on the Proxmox node. If you need help reverting the changes, I can provide the steps. I haven't run Proxmox on a Mac, so I'm not entirely sure without knowing the hardware. The 'lspci' command should help identify it for you.

@@Whats.New.Andrew Hi again, unfortunaunfortunately, my Mac sais VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09). So I think the tuto "as is" I can't follow it straistraightforward, so I have to search for the drivers for that. I'll come up with updates. Thanks again! Great work.

Hi, nice video, but i have more question to you !!! Theres the possibility to use docker for plex with nvidia passthrough (4070)? I have a lsi card for storage in raid, with the same procedure can be shared ? Thanx for your time :)

Hi @gianlucagiuman6132 - You can do passthrough with plex running on Docker, but you must use the LinuxServer.io docker image. Here is a link to an article that covers it, but I have not yet tested it myself. Hope this helps! tizutech.com/plex-transcoding-with-docker-nvidia-gpu/

Andrew - thanks for the tutorial! I've just run into an issue though. After installing Plex on the Ubuntu VM, I was not prompted to add my Media via the web portal. Is there any way to get this to show up again? Right now, when I'm at the IP address on Port 32400 it prompts me to "Get" Plex Media Server, not to setup my Media Folders...
@Whats.New.Andrew
@Whats.New.Andrew Месяц назад
Hi @misterkush7 - you can add more media folders/libraries by going to the settings menu. Here is a link to the overview on how to create libraries in Plex. Let me know if this does not help! support.plex.tv/articles/200288926-creating-libraries/

@@Whats.New.Andrew Unfortunately, it only ever pops up the web interface. There's not been an option where I can specify that the machine running Plex is the server itself. I do think that this has something to do with my Proxmox environment, and I was considering nuking the node and starting from scratch. I appreciate your help man!

Great video ! Can this be done for LXC containers ? For example, if I wanted to run an LLM on Casa OS.
@Whats.New.Andrew
@Whats.New.Andrew Месяц назад
Thanks! You can do this for LXC containers. It is a bit more involved, but it allows you to use the GPU across multiple LXCs. I had thought about creating a video (I may later), but this video I have linked here is a great walkthrough already. Hope this helps!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0ZDr5h52OOE.html
