Steffi, love your content 👍 just a tip on seasoning the dosa tawa After heating the tawa with 5 tablespoons of oil on high flame, bring down heat to medium flame and fry finely chopped onions for 15 minutes covering all areas of the tawa by moving the onions around until the onions are dark brown almost burnt Clear the tawa and start making dosa Edit: Quantity of onions depends on the tawa size You may need 250 to 300 gms of onions for a tawa of your size The idea is to cover the whole tawa area with the frying onions

Eppovume for cast iron the way you seasoned it fine. Right before doing the first dosai cut a red onion into two and poke one half with a fork and slide the cut flat surface of onion across the whole cast iron while it’s smoking hot and having a thin film of oil. It will sizzle as it slides bit after that the dosai will come properly. Till you feel dosai comes fine , you can rub the onion over cast iron inbetween dosai too. Hope this helps.

U can sprinkle rock salt n rub with onion It will get seasoned still more quicker I have tried n got good result when we use same dasakal for chappathis too

For seasoning try out castor oil , apply night over all stone as like squeeze position and in morning first 2 dosa u try , after switch off stove , then apply oil again on again, left dosa stone to absorb it . On the 3rd day u clean the stone with dry white cloth and and add ur favorite oil one time , again clean the stone . Now the dosa stone is ready to use mam. Or use ur procedures with castor oil, it will give good results mam. 💐
