Hey bro i also have a though u know how u scoll the bar to manage ur resources what i usually do is completely max my consumption of the resource im lacking and let the one im not lacking grow and every now and then while taking territory i check them until the both can go positive if i try to minimize the losses i also tend to minimize the gains so just sell the resource at 30 per unit to bank it and max the production of the other what u think about that
@@Nonyabusn I agree with maxing a resource to sell into the market and buying the cheaper one. But the other sounds like your going negative on zero resources of that type. If that's the case your moral should be taking a hit in all your provinces?
hi. i have a question. why is it important to build workshops in double provinces? is the production time faster? so you have only two workshops, what if you want to produce more, than possible with only two workshops?
Amazing guide. This just made the game way more interesting without wasting endless hours learning the hard way. Bless your soul and have a great day!!!
I really like his conciseness and subtle humor. I’m only about 24 minutes into this video and I can tell that I’ll be watching him more often now. 😂 Great job on this.
Just got back into the game after not playing for years. This was a wonderful refresher! Thank you. You should make your own alliance for all the squid bois to join. Only feature it at the end if your videos, then you'd be sure to have people to at least know the basics! It'd be great to fight alongside you.
Just told another country who had a bad resource management to watch it they then messaged me: 15 minutes. Into the video, and ive already almost instantly fixed my enconomy proveing your video work it also helped me get good at the game thanks for the video!
I have one strategy that i called "Defeating your enemy before they even landed" so for example the enemy's unit is disembarking to your land with atleast 50 units, u have 20 units near it so u attack with minimal losses while his units does small damage and heavy losses (its because transport ships deal less damage)
Hey bro I havent watched the video yet but I wanted to ask if im the only one expiriencing s bug where when you attack AI with artillery and put defensive troops in front of the artillery the AI can move through your defending troops and attack your artillery directly, same with railguns and they can also move through provinces, just wanted to know if there is a way to fix this because im losing a lot of artillery from this and its kinda annoying😂
Quick question, what would lead to a decrease in popularity? Another question, should I declare war first before I attack anyone? Does surprise attacking hurt my popularity?
Good questions. 1. Embargo, declaring war and surprise attack will decrease your popularity. 2. You should declare war before attacking to preserve your popularity 3.Absolutely.
This information really helped me but I have a question. In the 500 map would 40 units be good for an attack? Or even 30 or is 50 still better? I am at the start of the game with 80 units.
If you attack and your oponent has two lanes into his country I say 2 stacks of 40 is good. The more the better but that can't always happen. One large stack can be very effective if they are caught off guard and you are low on manpower.
44:11 I have a question about this part of the video. If I have 200 Units close together, do I still have to move troops in groups of 10? Or can I move them in groups of 20, or 50 even? Or do I group all of them up into 1 big army?
@@SquidSupremacy1914 but in game writes 50 is max, other troops dont deal damage. Also writes 20 troops deal normal damage, above 20 deals less damage so arent 50-60 troops for an army best?
@@mehmetakifozcelik1054 at first contact with the enemy, every thing you said is true. But locking in the enemy army with yours creates a new attack every hour. On the second hour do you still have 50 men? What about the 12th hour? You see what I'm saying? If I hit you with 200 🦑s, I'll have the advantage if you break up your forces in fourths of 50.
Why did you say that you need to build ports and railroads in a province with one resource? 43:45 Isn't it more efficient to build them in provinces with two resources?
You are right. Double resource provinces first. But you need them in singles eventually. Depending on the map size etc to keep moral high. Each province consumes 2400 resources.
Double resource provinces must have harbors and railroads on them, followed by factories. Singles only harbors and railroads on resources you are lacking then energy provinces. Buildings that provide a % resource boost is greater when the number of base resources is higher. That is why double resource provinces are the priority.
@@SquidSupremacy1914 I have followed all of your instructions, but there is one unfavorable resource, as you mentioned. In my case, it is coal💀, but the problem is that I am not making money very quickly. Why is that? How do you handle that, or what actions should I take?
Why do you prefer armoured cars than cav especially if you're attacking early games? Would it be silly to get armoured cars and sit them in your forts if you're worried about a certain player?
Because in the early game you can't have Calvary until day 3 or later and you may run out of food if you don't start with double food resources. But I build a lot of Calvary once I have my economy setup.
@@SquidSupremacy1914 thanks - appreciate it! If you're in a new game, do you ever attack AI as your first targets? Or do you just look at the easiest player?
Hi, just a quick question, what do you do if someone attack you AT THE VERY START with all he has, like i stay defensive i call help or i do some forts and leave him some territory to regroup all of my forces?
Well for one, don't stop your enemy when they are making a mistake. You need to see how long until they reach your army. See if you can bring reinforcements in time. Defense wins in infantry fights. If things get drawn out you can build forts but they take a day so unlikely if caught by surprise. After he stops attacking then you move in and take his country.
I was playing northern Russia, and Russia attacked me on the first day with 20 units,I only had 10 in the province so I quickly moved some more, and used boosters to quickly make a fortress and an armored car,I ended up loosing 8 units while he lost 20,this victory gave me a much needed advantage and then I conquered his entire country
Short answer yes. I knew if it ended being a long war I was building and producing properly that I would have won. I also did not move to his border until day change so that was still a surprise. His bottom stack would have taken my southern army out because of the gold fort spam but I didn't tell them to attack. Out manevouring and playing that long term industry game is my number one strategy. Once you see me coming it's me or you 🦑
You built too many barracks. Click them and disable them until you get a positive flow. Also build infrastructure on double food resource provinces. The game is designed for you to start negative in some type of resource so keep that in mind and where you expand next.
Hi just a question, i watched the whole video and i stopped overbuilding, i learned new strategies it really helped me but i have one problem, i play x4 times maps and i do exactly what you do on this video, on the first 2 days i dont have any problems, but after day 4-5 my morale keeps decreasing and i build forts everywhere but my metal isnt enough so that leads to my morale getting lower than 60. Is that happening because the map is fast?or im i doing something wrong?plus the double food provinces and the capitals morale keeps decreasing. What should i do?
You need to check your province moral stats. Most likely you are negative on a specific resource. Speed isn't the issue but can compound the problem if you don't see it fast enough.
Didn't even know i always overbuilt in early game and was wondering why I was struggling so much in long term damn. Many more things I learned and, question : is it worth to put railroads in single resources just for the speed bonus? (oh yea def gonna watch the other vids now)
More than speed for resources. I focus singles between materials and energy but by the late game most provinces should have them if you can afford the energy upkeep 🦑
@@Моисив your moral is going down in the early game because you are running out of resources and have gone negative and at zero. I'll make a moral specific tutorial.
i am still halfway trough the vid, but what should I do if someone gathers all his units and attack with like 100 units early on in a big mass, what should I do this always happens and there is nothing I can do they just dominate my spread out units
I have a question please, if the enemy has a 30 unit province for example and I'm attacking it with 100 units, should I split my units? and if should, for what number? I read that the most powerful 20 units will deal the damage, but should I really attack the 30 units with the just every 20 of mine? hope I explained my question well!
You did! You want to attack with as many high morale troops as possible all together, while not abandoning your entire defense line. Splitting up is bad for two reasons. One, you won't have twenty troops after the first round of fighting so the person who has more will have the advantage. Two, you split your army and attack with both at the same time, why is that a problem. It's a problem because the defender doesn't defend every hour. They defend every hour for every conflict. Given the game mechanics you are ~doubling the damage delt by you if you split up. And if you attack one by one you are just throwing your Bois away 🦑🦑🦑.
@SquidSupremacy1914 so it's still better to attack with the 100 units at once? Even though the second 50 won't deal damage? And of course there are units there to defend the province if that's what you mean.
@@wa3ajelto_elayka Yeah the ones after 50 are waiting to fight. You'll be locked in conflict for hours and the best 20 fight first followed by the best 50. Keeping the stack big allowes for a better kill ratio.
How do you dictate the order / path that the infantry follow rather than the game finding the shortest path (and therefore going through other provinces that you don't want)?
Great question. Click your army 🪖, click the move icon. Move to the first desired location then click add target icon. Move again and repeat. Use that and delay attack and you will be killing it.
Popularity gives you good relationships with the AI countries. Low popularity they will declare war. High and they will give you right of way access/line of site to their country.
Hey squid, is it ok if you try to make this style video, but for mobile players? I play on mobile so I don’t have access to as many features as computer players. Thank you if you do, and keep up the great work❤
I could make mobile shorts. Maybe one comparing the differences too? I know mobile you can tell when someone is online during your match. I'll write this down.
You need to see which neighbor is active and plan from there. Robots and AFK players can't see you. Rewatch 00:16:40 Analyzing My Neighbors and take some laps. 🦑
@@AvatarofHermes good, here's some ideas. You can reach out to their neighbors and double team them. Wait until they start a war with you, or someone else. Watch there moral in a few days and see which one is going bankrupt from over building. Overall you really don't want to start a war with an overbuilder in the early game since they like to build forts. Oh and if this is that ten player South America map you want to join a coalition asap. I'm finishing a game on that one and may turn it into a map review since it's so different.
Does anyone know if this is a glitch? So basically the enemy has 20 infantry. I boosted a fort 1 level and I have 10 infantry in it. Somehow we engaged while the enemy is still 50 minutes from arriving at the fort and my stack automatically split, with 5 infantry engaging, 5 resting and none of the stacks lost any health. Enemy even gained health on daychange.
I have an air master class here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yau2zAbYD1Q.htmlsi=yCd7sAfppn2KDJUB I'll add Air vs Navy to my list. Thanks.
Once they are attacking you they wont stop. The trick is to not have that happen. I am planning an in depth tutorial on this topic next month February but refer to this chapter in the description. 00:27:44 -Human's Becoming Robots and Popularity
they AI can give you peace but its very rare. Only way I can think of is improving the popularity meaning. attack their enemies. but also try to not have so much war one after another. Paste yourself on your attack, don't just go straight to war with the next one. less war and more peace increases popularity.
I agree, Bytro needs to update the phone UI. One of my to do lists is to make a video on the differences. Some are just accessed a different way. I know the phone can show when someone else is online which is different? I use the phone for when I'm out in the trenches 🦑
Can we please get a video on how to take out goldmark players they are destroying the game for alot of player and alot of people are quitting the game because of them its a problem the game is losing players and plus in very sick of running in to guys that have 25 battle ships 10 subs and 50 bombers and 69 artillery on day 8 its ridiculous and unfair I keep dying from them there's literally nothing that I can do i have one battle ship it took 2 days for it to be build and I have no bombers one artillery and like 8 calvary and 5 cars it took me 8 days to get that while this guy got a whole active navy and air force plus God knows how many cars and calvary its very unfair and they are the only guys that take me out the game
I'll add it to the list! I may change it to how to spot a gold mark player in the early game. I play the 23-43 player maps but I bet the 100-500 maps are rampent since there's more bang for their goldmark buck.
@@SquidSupremacy1914 i play the 500 matches there's always more then one goldmark player i pretty much can tell from stats like this guy in the devils brigade alliance he got like 68 solo wins in 500 player matches so I figured he's a goldmark player and boy was I right he had 10 bombers on the first day that bombers was available each double resource provrance had level 3 factories on the first day they was available he had a active navy and like 100 cars and he took over all of Mexico in 4 days I just quit the match
@@joshblake4171 i thought so. If you were a goldmark player why spend your money on the small maps and take out 30 players when you can take out 499 players. Try the smaller maps like the ones I play in the single story war campaign playlist.
😂was marking my spot in the vid so I could go back and watch. Just started a game and this vid helped me a lot. Unfortunately my freinds told me to play as Finland who has no oil, gas, or coal provinces and kinda just sucks.
