I’ve started using it recently. It’s bit intimidating at first, and a few places during the knot that you can mess up and cause failures, but once you get it down a few times it’s not bad at all. Good knot. I’ve been using your lighter trick I saw on an older video.

Never have a break at my knot, but I don’t tie the fg. Great knot , bot not a crazy Alberto gets the job done every time for me. Remember the best knot is the one you can tie well.

FG is my go to now. Started off with the alberto which was great but FG is just so fun to tie and the strength of it is unmatched.

I hadn’t seen that half hitch in the flouro before Seth. Had a couple FGs pull out when I was twitching flukes or frogs. That trick will cure my issues. Thanks!

fg knot gets super easy when you get it down. I can get a full leader setup under a minute now. Its a great knot and super strong.

After a little practice, I find the Rizzuto finish easier, cleaner and more reliable than the half hitches finish. Great video!

I only fish an Albright and I’ve never had a break at my knot. HOWEVER; if you cut the braid too short and you have quality, slick braid, it will slip out. tying an overhand on the braid and cutting that tag a little long is a good idea.
