These 4 tips will teach how to increase mental toughness and will help players that are playing at the highest level which is the major league baseball or the lowest level little league. These tips will also help a player stay focused, whether they are a pitcher, or a hitter, to better their baseball performance. The reason is simple the game is more mental than physical. I hope you enjoy these tips... if you do, comment below.
Thank you, Jermaine Curtis (Pros Cave)

Yep, you can make your nervousness go to work FOR YOU by using ITS energy to create your 'bubble'. You can even use your own heart beat as a key by holding a 'secondary level' focus on IT, which literally crowds-out (displaces) other noises.

Nicely put! Teaching young kids you learn real fast that when they are relaxed, having fun and not worried about a dad jumping on them they are so much more successful. Many kids I’ve coached have surprised and shocked me with how talented they really are by just telling dad to stop coming to practice LOL! Pete Rose always talked about his insane confidence and hustle swag started from his dad never belittling or embarrassing him but speaking to him in ways he understood. Ive heard many story’s of Rose never admitting to feeling old or slowing down his mindset @35 was I’m 20 yrs old I’m invincible. Where the Mind leads the body follows.

Good stuff bro. Just starting watching your videos and want to show some love mane. Love to see this. I’m an African American male, 37, played college ⚾️ that’s thinking about creating a hitting RU-vid channel soon. There is a lot I need to learn about how to make videos like this, so hopefully we can have many conversations on our goals and hitting. I wish I would’ve heard this message as a kid all the way thru college. Pivotal stuff. Much love bro

i play collegiate ball and im a freshman, ive had a pretty productive season coming off the bench and earned myself a spot to play an important series to be in a comfortable spot for playoffs... Long story short it was my worst series all year when the coaches finally put their trust in me, in 3 games i made 4 errors and went 0-6 with 2 walks and a reach on base off a error from the third baseman. I feel like complete dogshit and i feel this happened because i didnt believe in my abilities to execute. What can i do to stay positive even after a horrible series.

Hey Carlos, Thabks for reaching out. I've been here many times. The key is wanting to get back out there and play. What we normally want to do is not play because we're scared of failing/making mistakes. In your situation, you shoukd be wanting to play and prove it was a fluke. Because, it was a fluke. You just had a bad game. That so called bad game doesn't define you. Winners want the ball. Just like you were earlier when you were coming off the bench. Take that same mindset now. You have nothing to lose. Good luck!

Question, I had a great season last year in my adult league. This year I broke my hand earlier in the season and missed a lot of time. Now that I’m back I just cannot hit the ball to save my life. I’ve gotten 10 at bats since then and not even close to a hit. My hand feels a hundred percent so it’s not physical. My swing feels smooth but the ball is just flat out not hitting the barrel even on the guys throwing 60 mph it’s emberassing. What should I do?
@JermaineCurtis55
@JermaineCurtis55 3 года назад
It sounds like a timing issue. Do you feel rushed? Or do you feel that the ball is not getting to you? What do you feel in the batters box??
@TheBrothersAmbrose
@TheBrothersAmbrose 3 года назад
I feel really slow and really long to the ball. I should add I play a ton of golf so it could be effecting me but I had plently of success last year while playing golf too

Question? I recently had a 10 year girl who was hitting with controlled aggression and was engaged in every pitch until the coach started telling her to take until she get that first strike, which has usually been the first pitch down the middle. My question is when should the take sign be given to a batter? And if so when should the take sign be used? Now this batter has lost her aggressiveness and is timid at the plate. Does the coach sometimes mess with the batter natural approach by giving the take sign? Do you even want to give a great batter with a good eye the take sign?
@JermaineCurtis55
@JermaineCurtis55 3 года назад
Great question - I wouldn't give a10 year old a take sign but then again, I'm not the coach. The answer is you have to listen to the coach. I feel there's a good reason he is saying take a pitch... so definitely listen to him.
@ruebenanglo1682
@ruebenanglo1682 3 года назад
@@JermaineCurtis55 thanks for the response. I personally don’t like giving up any free strikes or good pitches over the plate. I can see if the batter has uncontrollable aggression or the pitcher is all over the place. Just my thought on why I would use the take sign.
@JermaineCurtis55
@JermaineCurtis55 3 года назад
@@ruebenanglo1682 yeah, I agree. Especially at that age but maybe the kids are swinging at everything...and the coach wants them to stop.
@ruebenanglo1682
@ruebenanglo1682 3 года назад
@@JermaineCurtis55 not sure that’s the case. And there are no runners on base so not taking to steal. I think his thought is he wants them to see the ball first but it’s frustrating because that first pitch is usually BP up the middle. So that same pitch don’t come around again usually. I get it but I don’t agree to taking with better hitters on the team that have a good eye usually. There are probably 3 players on the team who are really good that should have trust in their ability to hit strike and check balls. I just wanted to confirm with you is my thought process correct?
@JermaineCurtis55
