They make it sound so good. Let me tell you from experience.... The fees will eat you up. And if you lose your key your money is gone. They need a better way to hold the money or coins.
Does Exodus desktop not have 2 step authentication? looks to me like if the password gets hacked then someone could move your funds without a problem, am i right? i cant see much in the security options. Thanks.
Why can't you generate a 24 word seed phrase on Trezor model T ? I would like to switch from ledger but i'm not sure about 12 word seed phrases. Thanks !
Trezor has hidden wallet pass phrase feature for added security. If your 12/24 seed phrase is compromised, one would still need the pass phrase to access the wallet and move the crypto.
My own personal experience with Exodus is not that good. Especially with their Support. And I have been using them for quite some time. But I will be happy to watch your video as always, Rex.

Hi! I have installed the bridge between excodus and Trezor as asked to do, but I am not able to pair them, I only Get the install bridge option again and again.. any idea What the issue might be? 🤔 Seems I am still able to transfer funds though..
Not really sure what's going on. But, I'm assuming you're on windows. You might want to go into your windows settings into the app settings and uninstall the Trezor bridge. You might even want to try uninstalling both Trezor suite and Trezor bridge. Reboot your computer. And then attempt to do the exodus pairing again and let it install Trezor Bridge After that, you might go ahead and reinstall your Trezor suite if you're using it. I'm not sure if this will work, but it would be something I would try. because it sounds like you're going in circles. Worst case scenario you could totally uninstall exodus wallet as well as long as you have your backup and start everything from scratch.
Once you have the Exodus desktop wallet downloaded and installed It is possible to disconnect your computer from the Internet while running it for the first time. It might complain about certain things it can't connect to like its pricing APIs, but you could probably start the backup process while you're offline. It will increase your seed generation security by a little bit. But basically the desktop version of Exodus is a hot wallet anyway. So it's going to need to be connected to the Internet to function and the private key is stored on your computer. So it might be overkill to generate your seed offline but it can't hurt.

Yes you do. You're going to have to get the wallet set up and initialized and you do that using Trezor suite. If you try to connect a Trezor device that has not been set up Exodus won't recognize it.
Thanks for the video. I have question. Can I make my exodus desktop wallet require the trezor to be connected to unlock the Exodus wallet ( not refferring to the trezor wallet showing up in exodus) ?
The device itself is your lock. Basically, if the device is not connected, then you cannot send crypto out of the wallet. Of course, this only applies to the assets that are being managed by the Trezor device.

Signed up for a simple exchange, bought little bit of btc and tried to save it to Trezor device. Got message stating that the exchange doesn't support web version, so I couldn't sent btc to Trezor. How would Exodus wallet work in my case? Thank you very much in advance.
You don't save it to trezor, you transfer it to that blockchain address. I don't know what you're using, mobile or desktop, but all you need to do is go to your trezor, click the "receive" button by where it says Bitcoin and copy the address. You go back to your exchange, withdraw your bitcoin, and simply paste that address into the withdrawal address box on the exchange. Send. Done. It should be there in about 30 minutes or so as the bitcoin network is far slower than the others if you're not using the lightning network.
Exodus was the original interface for Trezor before there was a Trezor Suite. When you start using it, you will figure out the difference. There is no substitute.

I have had requests to do a setup video for the Rabby wallet, but unfortunately I don't have a Mac that I can do a demo on. I would assume that since it runs in the browser it's pretty similar across the PC/Mac platform. It's basically a browser centric application. Just have not had a chance to make the demo video yet.

Unfortunately, no. The device can only manage coins that it supports. If you try and transfer a coin from Exodus over to your connected Trezor, and the coin is not supported, the option will not appear for the Trezor wallet to receive it.
Hi all! Guys i am new on Trezor and Exodus. I would like to stake crypto that i have in Trezor via the Exodus sync. But i understand that in order to achieve staking i understand that i need to to swap my crypto from the hardware wallet to Exodus and i cannot stake them directly by using my hardware wallet account balances. Is this indeed the case or i am loosing something?
Great vid as usual! Trezor doesn't support some assets such as SOL. Is there a warning if you try to swap from Exodus to Trezor using assets that aren't supported?
From what I understand, if you try to make a swap or a transfer over to the Trezor with a coin that is not supported, then it’s simply won’t be possible. I guess the Trezor side would be dim.
I believe the swap feature in Exodus is more decentralized. If you want to make swaps using the Trezor suite, you have to use a third-party processor like Moon pay. When you do swaps in Exodus, it aggregates for a best price on decentralized exchanges. I guess also, you could say that swaps or transfers between the two wallets are a little more intuitive since it’s all in one interface.
Exodus takes the complex and makes it simple. Remember, Exodus came before the Trezor Suite. It was its primary interface. Trezor is a hardware company, while Exodus is a software company. It was the perfect marriage!
If you want to purchase merchandise using crypto, many vendors use a broker named BitPay as a middle man. BitPay does not interface with the Trezor Wallet. But will with the hot software wallet of Exodus. So to make a purchase, you need to send your crypto amount to Exodus from Trezor, then make your purchase through Exodus to BitPay and then they send it to the vendor. Not convenient. But otherwise, you would have to use a different hardware wallet. Trezor seems to get high votes for being safe, so that why I went to it. I do not understand why so many vendors use BitPay because they have bad reviews if you use their own wallet or buy gift cards through them with Crypto. My guess, is the gov has a backdoor access to BitPay to monitor who is buying what. But at least, there was no KYC sign in on Exodus.
@thecryptodad , I might have missed it. If my trezor is bridged to exodus app, can I use the address the app shows to deposit crypto straight to my trezor ?
Yes any crypto that you deposit into the Trezor-based wallet in Exodus will be managed by your Trezor, and will also show up in the Trezor suite. Keep in mind that you cannot deposit any crypto into the Trezor that are not supported by the Trezor, regardless of whether they are supported in Exodus
