Doesn't matter when it's the only thing even close, the kicks I've made with that surpass anything I've see by far and I mean it's a huge difference if you know your frequencies and know how to make the initial sample where you want it
Actually its the followers kick, which I made with Raoul, pitched down and with some compression ;) We call it the donkey kick, it is used in a lot of donkey roller tracks.
@@phucdatbich1951 late but still: there was a beef between Wildstylez and deadmau5, that Wildstylez stole Strobe melody in his Timeless. deadmau5 said it is so fucking easy to produce hardstyle, but managed to do shit, ESPECIALLY KICK. So that's the joke: deadmau5 hiding here watching how to make normal kick
If someone's looking for Logic's clip distortion's substitute in FL Studio, try out Whitenoise Stereodist from Buzz Effect Adapter. This has most important functions from clip distortion and even more :D
it's about the distortion, I've got the same problem. Using Camelcrusher. I always thought the crackle sound were only high frequencies but they're spreak over different frequencies. You need to distort it different. Using more peak on the EQ so it doesn't distort other frequencies wich you don't want to distort :)
sam knows his shit i had the pleasure of spending a few weeks with him when he came to visit his good friend drew who is another fellow producer from when he produced hardcore back in the day. I was just mind blown and so pleased to learn everything i did trust me in person doing stuff and produscing with him on the spot is insane
@ AUDIOFREQ I have used the same Drumazon settings as yours and copied exact Distortion settings but in Cubase. When I get to the eq part where you low shelf the lows and boost resonant frequencies 500-600-700hz. How come on my analyser the low end is showing to be smaller than the resonant frequencies? But on your analyzer it is showing that your low end is higher than the boosted resonant frequencies? I have copied everything exact but it doesn’t seem to be getting the same result in the analyzer. Did you do anything to the Drumazon before hand?
Thank you SOOO much for doing this class Sam. I have been producing Hardstyle for years now and I finally got my hands on logic. After a long gruesome few months I started making decent kicks, but still had no knowledge of how each plugin work. This is the tutorial I have been waiting for! A little correction i might add: the first hardstyle kick was made in 2004, also by the Donkey Rollers (thanks to Zany?) and it's called: Strike Again 2004, the track Followers came out at the very end of 2005 x)
+ShaaRhee First hardstyle kick? No, he gave an example of the first kick that sounds like todays modern kicks, the first hardstyle kick was obviously in the first hardstyle song in 2000-2001
Yeah , I'm also using CamelCrusher. I found out that the crackle appears right in the freq range that I'm distorting. So pretty annoying.. Is this better with other plugins?
Let your kick's tail have a little more attack and then use a normal 909 for the punch. This way your kick will 'move' more and you'll have a brighter kick!

I have to disagree that the first hardstyle kick was created in 2005. There were many more that were produced before, however they weren't raw kicks, they were reverse bass. Hardstytle has many types of kicks and not just raw style kicks.
