I really like frost for shao because it gives me a reason to use his mid. Since it's only follow up is an overhead (or special cancel if you're a mad man), it creates a mixup with frost and her low ground freeze. So now his mid becomes a mixup that can lead to high damaging combos. Makes it harder for people to go under you that way.

All they do is spam against my shao. So I'm forced to wave dash into close proximity carefully. Like a cat and mouse game.

With kung Lao you can combo off the f2 overhead like you can with motaro. U just gotta hold the Assist button to do the aerial teleport with Lao and continue combo with aerial 1 or 2

As a Shao main I use Motaro because he gives me the mix that I need to keep continuously pressuring my opponent, shame Motaro doesn’t give me a mid 🤦‍♂️

Do you dash in after db3->df4? I’ve just been going straight into strings. Also, how do you get f122 to go into df4? Haven’t been able to get the axe slam to come out, don’t know the timing :/ Great vid tho man! Love more secret Shao tech lol

Shao/sub is a slept on combination. sub gives Shao a vortex that can basically kill a fulll life bar in 1 touch and 1 wrong. guess.

To use frost orb with shao, you must end mid combo with a forward 4 into orb which keeps him safe.

Leakers said that the last Titan boss for this season is gonna be a Shao Kahn with a different colored version of that skin, so you don’t have to bash your head into a wall in kombat league to get it. I personally somehow got the skin even tho I’m straight ass

Kung lao+shao is scary aggression. Sub+shao is counter zoner+high damage. Motaro+shao similar to Kung Lao but higher damage for fatal and reflect projectiles. Sektor+shao is underrated.

If he had a fast mid he would be top 1 in the game honestly. You just gotta block and punish their down 1 or do his safe on block sweep or walk back and whiff punish or neutral jump if they're really a kombat league warrior

His mid needs a buff To counter shao you just have to delay wake up and he loses SO MUCH! his 50/50 pressure isn’t really 50/50 And what I mean by that is.. The overhead is only a combo of you have a specific Kameo.. so it’s not scary The low is slow and is easily outraged and poked out of more often than not The only till his 50/50 is REAL, is without axe and like I said above… just delay Wakeup and buy time, and before you know it his axe is back and his “mix” is dead…. It really ALL depends on who you Kameo, and obviously it’s not so simple.. or her he bottom 1 But for the most part what I’ve said above very solid, I’m a shao main he’s the only character I’ve played since day 1 I’d like to think I understand him
