interesting thoughts on 55 min about not limping QQ+ to balance limping range, bc we are losing plenty of equity in these situations, was watching heads-up Hellmuth vs Esfandiari and Hellmuth was playing limp strategy, and he actually was limping strong hands as well, dont know what strategy is better, I mean, I totally agree, it is not good idea to limp AA, but in the end of the day Mr. Hellmuth has those 15 bracelets 🧐 and he really crashed Esfandiari
I am totally lost on the first hand. By not raising on the flop, are you not giving up a lot of equity. His range (very wide as you described starting the video) might even include lower pairs and chasing the lesser flush as well. Why do you think his range is now more narrow to only include premium hands? Defending his blind in position and C betting is very standard, isn't it? He got 2 free cards to improve. The river over bet was changed from a thin value opportunity bet to a full bluff with what was most likely the best hand? The only hands calling us would have been sets or higher 2 pair. The implication of a hero call is quite slim. You are protecting yourself from a bluff raise in the river instead of welcoming one? If he has no show value, his only opportunity to win the hand was by bluffing. I am obviously learning and want to make sure I understand the logic of this hand. Please help!
