I had to put my eyeballs back in my head when I saw this! Never seen an orbifolia this luscious. This is the only calathea on my wishlist and while I am intimidated by it, I am determined to try! I appreciate your tips.
My neighbors abandoned this plant in a glass pot with no rolls. The roots were rotting and the only two leaves had brown/yellow tips. I took care of her and she was thriving, with five beautiful new leaves. Then I moved one month ago and she's not doing well again. I hope with your tips I'll save her. Thanks!!

@@TheLecaQueen only had mine 6 weeks she’s grew a lot of new leaves . She was doin good for 4 weeks then took a hissy fit . So I’ve reported her an her stalks have separated , leaves gone thin an drooping . Trying to be patient with her . Thinking of buying a humidifier to help her 🥲

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I am confused there are so many different names for those bulbs or rhizomes. If you take those off the plant and put the plant back in the dirt with just roots what happens to the plant and if you can start a new plant from the rhizomes what is the best way to do that do I dry it out and plant it at another time I don't find anybody's video just getting to that point. And when I search it you get videos about doesn't matter what plant nobody specific to this plant that I just bought. A couple of those bulbs came off did I just screw my plant?
Omg… 😳. I went really huge nursery in the town, there were plenty of these, but every single plant has browned or broken leaves. I didn’t buy any. I have never seen a healthy version of this plant. I am in shock.
My orbifolia is a couple months old now and keeps sprouting little leaves. I’m a fairly new plant mum but would love some tips on how to keep the base of the plant from going brown
I get a lot of browning on my leaves. I keep it under a grow light, off side from light. soltech grow light. and I group all my calathea and marantas together with the humidifier right up front. water with distilled water. I'm stressed over this plant. I'm ready to give up. nexted up is switching to lecca.😊
I bought some calatheas because they are so amazing looking so I bought A humidifier now if I boil water is that water going to better then straight from the tap ?
OMG, I am So Heart Broken! What am I doing wrong??? My plant is around other plants, has a light, I give it distilled water, and has a humidifier. But ALL the leaves are growing yellow and brown edges, babies growing in small with brown tips and everything I do is NOT helping 😢😢😢😢

She is still getting bigger, new leaves all the time. I think I am hitting the problem where she needs repotting. She is already in a 20cm pot! HOw much bigger can I go?
Can you move a large plant to leca or is it best to start as a baby. My orbifolia took over 6 months to adjust to my climate in Colorado and needs to be repotted with good soil
So, I am still afraid of leca. That being said I bought a mixed planter setup last year that has a pothos, flf bambino and calathea orbifolia in it. I want to separate these and I want to know if the calathea orbifolia will be dramatic and try to die on me. I don't care about the flf.
