then that's the inaction path, yoga school is like that as patanjali was an isolationist, but in advaita vedanta[ in shrishti drishti vaad school not in drishti shristi('I' or ego as 1st cause of samsara sub school) or ajaatvaad(non origination sub school) ], & in vedanta in general(in bhakti yoga,karma yoga paradigms), even in buddhism(not mind only school & some non dual sub schools in mahayana) , it's all about sangha(association with the wise) but remember even in lone wolf or solitude path the mind has to be 100% tamed which is described in Dhammapad by Lord Buddha as more difficult than a maharathi winning a great war, in Geeta arjun(arguably the greatest warrior of the time) complaints to Lord Krishna that taming the mind is as if one is trying to control the wind etc which sri krishna acknowledged but tells him it's possible and then tells him other easier ways to achieve nirvana which involves sangha hence for such a method as radical as taming the mind to work patanjali after 4th step makes it explicitly clear that there should be no kleshas whatsoever [no primitive thought or vasana at all should occur in mind about any sense object in samsara especially by the time practitioner reaches later stages of pratyahara->dharna->dhyana->samadhi, in yama->niyama->asana->pranayama patanjali is fine with samsaric thoughts that pop in the mind but he becomes explicitly anti-thought from pratyahara onwards(withdrawal of 6 senses{5 gross senses+including mind as the subtle sense}from all sense objects and subtle objects in the mind) only then cessation of all mental modifications of mind(1st verse of patanjali yoga) is possible and only then the seer abides in it's own nature. ] Also one should note here that the philosophical difference and basis of action and inaction path is action which is doctrine of karma, in inaction path you are ceasing all actions so karma won't apply whereas in other path you will still do actions while doing bhakti yoga or karma yoga or jnana yoga hence karma doctrine will apply and since karma applies it's a no brainer to not do association with the wise. Also association is not with fools(non wise) but the wise(knowers of the reality or advanced seekers) this has to be emphasized. Why this is helpful is coz of karma(it's clear in majority schools of Buddhism and Hinduism) buddha even explicitly states that doing good to people who are mahatmas,arhants,munis etc (the wise) brings million times more good than doing good to beings engrossed in samsara(the more closer to nirvana one becomes the results of karmic interactions with him increase many folds because he has practiced non stealing,non lie,non killing,celibacy, daan,compassion,dharma etc in many lives and has done innumerable good to others by virtue of tyag which is selflessness, and is at heart of spirituality as the thing that binds us in samsara is ego which is selfishness, to become what he is so he is not a normal sentient being like others anymore)similarly doing bad to the wise brings immeasurable bad it brings more bad than doing bad to non wise people. Similarly while explaining about the bhakti path to arjuna sri krishna tells arjun the secret to get his bhakti lata beej and the secret is basically association with his genuine bhakts and in Srimad bhagavat puran Naradmuni the greatest bhakt of Sri Krishna tells his story that many kalpas before how he was born to a poor mother who used to do seva of sadhus and all he used to was to just listen to them telling leelas of Sri Vishnu Narayana and did seva to these enlightened beings who achieved enlightenment by bhakti path and he used to eat their leftovers to survive such was his shraddha to them and that bought him gazillion times good karma and bhakti lata beej which made him not just enlightened but a bhakta like no other to the extent that Sri hari took him to divine abode of vaikuntha as his divine servant all thanks to his service to the sadhus. Everything is logical and is inference based in Dharmic religions one only needs to apply some brain to dissect through it.
