Ever heard of a structured manicure? It's my favorite manicure to offer and receive! Here's my full structure gel manicure tutorial with Akzentz Build gel! It's also referred to as Builder in a Bottle (BIAB). This step-by-step video will show you how to create structured gel nails that have strength and beauty!
Step 1: Nail prep
Step 2: Apply Akzentz X-bond, cure 30 sec
Step 3: Apply thin layer of Akzentz Build to a single finger, DON'T CURE!
Step 4: Apply larger bead of Akzentz Build to same finger, flash cure 5 sec (repeat on entire hand, then cure all 5 fingers for 30 sec)
Step 5: Apply color, cure 30 sec (repeat as needed)
Step 6: Apply Akzentz Shine-On Top Gloss, cure 30 sec
Step 7: Hydrate skin with lunu-luxe cuticle oil + Polisher bit (my fav!!)
PRO TIPS 👇
- Use Akzentz X-bone on everyone to prevent product from lifting
- Don't tuck Akzentz Build under the proximal nail fold (OK to tuck the color)
- Since we're flash curing individual fingers when building, work back and forth between client's right and left hand
- Wait at least 1 min after the nails come out of the light before touching them or spraying alcohol after the last cure
