The brightness of both the PFD and MFD are very dark in the sim. I checked menus for both and brightness level is 100% for each. This makes me think something outside of the sim causing this.?
Some aircraft have a manual knob to control brightness on the screen the other thing you can do is go into the brightness level into the menu on each of them turn it to manual and then go back to 99% and back up to 100 again and sometimes that will also increase the brightness
its just by design some planes like the sr22 has its own autopilot panel and others i would assume to save space they add it to the dead space on the g1000 or between the 2 panels . the g1000 works the same in either case
Excellent video! I just purchased the g1000 and am debating whether to use it ad an MFD or a PFD. I heard you mention auto pilot in the PFD tutorial but I was under the impression that auto pilot was available only when MFD mode. Was I wrong? Thanks again my friend!
Thanks for the comment .. autopilot can be used anytime whether you have your g1000 in mfd or pfd mode. In mfd mode you have way more control over flight plans and finding information on airports around you and vors. As well as navigraph data if you have a subscription. You also will see your fpl . In pfd mode you cannot see your fpl but you can still plan a flight but you loose lots of features. What I would do is use a tablet to display your p FD and then use your G 1000 hardware for your M. F. D. If you get the SIM box application, then it already has the G 1000 bezel for PF D that you can simply drag the display on to your tablet and then it already has the bezzle around it, so you can control things right from the tablet, even push buttons right on the tablet. And activate them on the G 1000 it's very very handy, but he doesn't have the M. FD portion done which is fine for you because you have a hardware device that you can use for your Mfd. That would give you the best of both .
@@2020fsers Thanks for the quick come back. I hadnt considered using my android tablet as my PFD. I am going to look into seeing how to get that done. I really appreciate the help! ✌
Absolutely necessary master class! Thank you! It’s been a while since last time I used the G1000. Looking forward for the next chapters. Learning a big deal
Awesome thanks for the comment . I am also going to do a charts series in between this series I think it will help once we get into flight plans and flying approaches and departure s. That will be 5 chapters . Ifr vfr star sid and approach charts.
Thanks for doing this. I, like many Simmers, know the basics but this "study level" tutorial series will be a great reference for us. Especially with the chapters, we can now simply go to a specific task and give it a go when the flight is UP and running. Looking forward to the series! !! !!!
Thanks so much for the compliments 😊 I thought Splitting this up would come as a benefit for everyone . I hope you enjoy the next several in the series.
I am also gonna do a chart series in between this one . 5 chapters vfr chart guide an ifr chart guide and all the sid star and approach charts . I did these a while ago and I feel they all need a revamp and put into their own series/ playlist. It will really help once we get deeper in the g1000 series .
