The Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a nine-tailed fox. It was eaten by Catarina Devon. Meaning this is a real devil fruit. (sorry but I had to do this cuz they one of my fav characters)

honestly i think that the base of the fruit was taken off of catarina's fruit but the general idea is more related to yamato's wolf deity fruit. if u dont get what im saying basically its kitsune devil fruit but with more of yamato's fruit appearance and abilities

19:49 They didn't actually just make it up but I can see why you might think so. In one piece, there is a character called Marshall D. Teach and he led a pirate crew, in which, one of his crew members was called Katarina Devon and she owned the mythical zoan fruit; Inu Inu no Mi: model Yamato no Kitsune which (although a bit confusing) is not currently owned by Yamato.

"Catarina devon" is a crew of Blackbeard pirates, yes he does have the nine tailed fox fruit, which is also known as the "inu inu no mi: model, kyubi no kitsune", I think you misunderstood Orochi's devil fruit(eight-headed snake/yamata no Orochi).
