Yeah one of the most important parts to really make this figure more creative is those Neck extension pieces. I'm not sure if Mattel will release extra pieces for this figure unless they are included with some other figure in the future as an extra accessorie. I can see these being 3d printed on etsy or ebay soon!👌
Hey, Damon here! Yup, still very far behind, but I wanted to begin checking out your reviews of the next MotU waves now that it’s back on my mind with King Grayskull and Eternia starting to ship. My Eternia is currently waiting for pickup at a location 5 minutes away from my home as I did not trust FedEx to deliver it to my front door from their truck undamaged as many people have been reporting. 😤 Anyway, I have to agree that this Mekaneck figure is damn near perfect! Those neck extensions are incredibly effective! And I either never knew or completely forgot that his club doubled as a periscope, which now makes total sense to me. However, I don’t think the extensions integrate into the club nearly as well. Interesting concept, but it just looks goofy. Plus, as you pointed out, using too many of them will probably cause the arm to buckle under their weight. Still though, awesome figure and review! 👍

I am dealing with some of my chronic pain health issues that always get in the way sooner or later. Aside from that! My Eternia shipped and should show up soon. I'm not sure when I will review it. It's a lot to do. I don't even know where I am gonna put it, to be honest yet! I jumped on my Eternia preorder later. So im not sure if I get a King Greyskull figure. Besides, it looks like they just used an Origins body and the Masterverse King Greyskull parts, which I already have. Hopefully, my box won't, and parts dosent come damaged! Getting back to Meckaneck. I think the Masterverse nailed this figure for the New Eternia series. The look, colors, and neck extension pieces are awesome! I wish he had come with a few more of those neck pieces. But I can see 3d printed customs ones showing up on eBay or Etsy down the road. But the more you add the heavier he gets as you mentioned from what I showed putting a combination of extension pieces on in the review!

Man, this guy is amazing! It's one of rare Masterverse figures that you instantly know it is better than the Classics release! I was expecting this to be mostly a repaint but they actually did some retooling on the buck and the armor, which should mean that Masterverse line is doing quite good. :)
They did an awesome job on this Masterverse Meckaneck figure. He is even better at hand than in the box. I like the way they made small changes in the suit and neck pieces. No problem, and thanks for watching the review. Yeah, Meckaneck has the shield piece and design set-up like New Eternia Battle Armor He-man with the bracer socket that the shield just plugs into and rotates. I'm glad the video helped fix that issue 👍

This may just be the best Masterverse figure yet. Looks like they nailed it. Just perfect. I can't wait to get him. Mekaneck is one of my favorite good guys. Love the throw back to the Blue Road Ripper.

I recently sold my MOTU classics collection-I acquired most of them through Matty collector back in the day. I am really digging these figures-I think some of them are even better than classics.
I also own all the Matty collector Classics in the cards. I don't know if I can part with them. I really like the Masterverse figures, too. The articulation is better than the classics as well as certain designs depending on the figure. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts ✌️
Another Masterverse figure that was done better than Classics. 😮 Loving the neck pieces extensions, especially that you can put them in angles. Not just straight up. 😮 Never thought the battle mace doubles as a telescope too! 🤔 In the vintage line, I just assumed it's a weird upside down wine bottle used for hitting people! 😆😁🤪
I'm with on all that! Mattel did a great job on this New Eternia Mekaneck design. I also think he is even better than the classics with those neck extension pieces. Checking this out cuz I'm debating about what to buy next, a local Comic collector shop has MV New-Eternia TriKlops, but I'm also gonna get this guy, or Revolution King Keldor (I could get 1 of the 3 later on) This is a crazy review with the Etsy extension you got the neck crazy long (lol) I do like that shot you did with some extensions on the neck and spyglass with him posed to look through it properly, that is a great posing idea, rather than all the extensions on the neck, Not going to buy the figures for a few days, so I got time to decide, Thanks for another comprehensive review
Thanks for watching another in-depth review of my Masters figures! It's a hard decision to choose between the New Eternia Tri-Klops or this Meckaneck! I honestly like Meckaneck the most! Those new extensions are a really cool design, being small and flexible. I thought it was interesting bringing the Etsy Custom straight extension piece into the review to mix the two parts for fun. But it is not practical, and I would use one or the other! This figure is a must-have if you also were a fan of Meckaneck! He is well done for the New Eternia line👍

I’m really glad the direction they’re going with these New Eternia figures. I can’t wait to get this one. I hate to complain but I’m not a fan of the face sculpt. His visor is too high on his face for it to line up with where his eyes should be. Comparing it to the Origins or any of the other sculpts, his nose was always right up in that corner there. This just looks weird. But I am still definitely getting this figure. Maybe I’ll get an extra Origins Mekaneck set so I can paint the Road Ripper blue and use the head on my NE Mekaneck

But sometimes, details or certain changes will be hit or missed like the higher glasses now. You can also just use the Origins Meckaneck head instead on this Masterverse body like I showed in the review if you're planning to buy another Meckaneck set to paint that Road Ripper blue like the Argentina exclusive one. That Origins head looks good. 👌
He is definitely my favorite New Eternia figure in Wave 12 so far. Those neck extension pieces are a great idea. I noticed many New Eternia figures have those larger hand pegs instead of the Smaller Origins ones. I guess the Origins pegs can break with too much twisting because of how small they are. I'm happy you got a chance to also check out this figure and review! It's always appreciated! I had a feeling you would like this figure. Mekaneck was always a fan favorite and highly wanted figure since the days of the 80s toys. His blue Suit, that Red helmet with those Glasses and of coarse a Robotic Telescopic Neck! The vintage had a action twist feature that The Origins got rid of in place of the ball peg snap together parts like the Classics also did for cost reasons. But you can do more with that setup! They took this Meckaneck to another level with design by also using shorter ball peg snap together neck pieces that articulate better and can also work with the Origins or Classics with modifications as I kind of showed or disscused in my review! He is probably the most wanted figure in the Wave 12 Masterverse series! I'm excited to hear you love the look as well! That really helps support the line to keep more figures coming as long as we can afford them! Lol👌

I do some amateur toy design so whether it’s Hasbro or Mattel…I love to see what they do with their figures. And I wish I knew who the design team was at Mattel because they are firing on all cylinders. Mecaneck is iconic but purposely simple design because it’s a parts bin character. But the things they do to give these characters distinct details is delightful. This is the debut of the body suit in gorgeous metallic blue. His armor is actually unique. They gave him a shield which totally fits with the character(I don’t remember him ever having a shield). They could have recycled everything from previous figures and popped a head on but they didn’t. As a fan, I totally resonate with their intent behind the entire toy line.

They keep coming up with some cool new ideas to reimagine certain core characters and yet keep certain traditional designs going back to their original concepts or vintage inspiration. Meckaneck never had a shield. Only the Mace and Rising Neck features. The shield is an added addition with the Blue road Ripper or the image of Meckaneck on the green Road Ripper in the 1984 JC penny catalog. Have a happy New Year!👍

Mekaneck is one of the coolest characters in all of the Masters. I still remember how much I liked the original figure when I was a child. This version is practically perfect for me, I really like the shade of blue used for the body, the shield is awesome and, in my opinion, the head sculpt is one of the best of the entire New Eternia line

Mattel really nailed his design for the New Eternia with the colors, head, and smaller articulated neck extension pieces that work great and have better articulation now for flexibility.👌

Hello again! Thanks for stopping in to check another review out! Yes he definitely use the Revolution Battle Armor and new Cross Armor the Revolution He-man comes with. I also reviewed the Revolution He-man after this Meckaneck figure. I tried both Armor pieces on a Regular Masterverse buck. Meckaneck has the same style buck. The Revolution He-man has a Larger Chest now. So the New Battle Armor and new Cross Armor is bigger and designed to fit that Chest. But it also fits first release Masterverse bucks like Meckaneck also has as well.
@@Themanchlid That's good to hear since newer Masterverse figures are becoming less compatible with other figures from previous waves. I still know that the hands from newer waves have bigger pegs that can't go into older figures, for instance.
@@tonyc.0451 The boots, neck pegs and most removable accessories work with the older Masterverse figures. But yes they are now coming with the larger style peg in the hand instead of the Origins style pegs on the hands. To be honest I like the larger peg better. It's not gonna break. I pulled certain original style Origins pegs off a couple figures for parts swapping multiple times and the pegs broke. They are really small and definitely will not hold up down the road twisting and pulling off multiple times. I'm also having issues with cracking in necks in both Origins and Masterverse figures when I take a certain figure and keep pulling the head off for Comparisions with other Figures in reviews. The new Masterverse Female necks are becoming a big issue with cracking.
@@Themanchlid Even I noticed that my Masterverse Teela figure that I bought and customized in 2022 is starting to show a crack in her neck. Thanks for informing me. As for the hands with larger pegs, we should still exercise caution when swapping hands. I still remember my close call with Sun-Man's hands.
@@tonyc.0451 Yeah I my Masterverse Teela Sorceress neck cracked and broke with one head change. I glued it. Yes even the hands with the larger pegs can still get breakage. I agree about being careful 👌
Yeah, that's why I call that Club/ Telescope a spy glass or telescope. They call it a Periscope on the box. I guess once you add the neck piece to it.Then it can now flex and look up or on and angle like a Periscope can. Thanks for watching 👍
