I went to see Opeth specifically, was surpised they were opening for Mastodon. Boy was I surprised! One of the best live shows I've been to. I've been listening to Masotodon since. Their new album is straight fire!
Yeah same here, I went to the show in Albany ny specifically to see opeth, who closed that one. And while both bands were epic, I’ve been listening to a shit ton of mastodon since the show
@@rubaidaallen2764 This makes me so happy to hear. Opeth was my very first concert back in 2003 right after Deliverance came out. Their sound has changed drastically since then but I will still love it.
The new album is another jewel for Mastodon's crown! Sickle and Peace, More Than I Could Chew and Gigantium are my favorites songs, these dudes always deliver something special!
Man Teardrinker has that classic megadeth’’s Trust catching vibe, this is already a classic of their own they’ve top theirselves on this last album, such rad track
Thanks for sharing from the UK! What an epic performance, the lighting and visual effects made the experience mind blowing with the incredible Music. What a hell of a band, was lucky to see them in 2004, on tour for the Leviathan Album. This brought back memories but this experience looked intense. Great to hear the new tracks sounding kick ass as ever. Great to see they included the Synth player too, so jealous of you right now 🤣 What a way to close with Blood and Thunder that track and Iron Tusk gets me everytime🤘
I mean have the set was obviously gonna be new stuff and Brent wasn’t that involved with the record by his own choice. Lastly he’s the worst singer and seems to enjoy singing the least. The setlist was a pretty damn solid mix of old and new and the band skin fed as good as they ever have.
I like how Troy realized he sang the 1st verse on Pushing The Tides very poorly (30:57 mark)....but then immediately stepped up and pushed it harder in the 2nd one (before the 1st chorus on 31:33) and killed it all the way !!!
Never thought anything could top seeing Gojira or Devin Townsend but goddamn, I think Mastodon just did that. Easily one of the best shows I’ve been to.
