Brann has always this little smile in his eyes, mixed with something that looks like determination. As if his mind is just waiting for the next laugh. If he trained the jokes, like he trained the drums, he might be one of the best comedians out there.

I don't know what to think. The story of Brann's sister and stuff, apparently his mom was a drug addict and his dad was a massive asshole. I get the feeling they seem awesome because they just weren't there most of the time and let him do whatever he wanted.

I had their first ep on pre order knowing only of their work with Today is the day. It did not disappoint, and the last track is possibly the best song Mastodon ever wrote.

Hearing Brann say that Mr Bungle was one of his biggest influences put a huge smile on my face. I dont even listen to Mr Bungle anymore, but they were a favorite for a while. But Mastodon is my favorite now.

Right on with the Dead Kennedys! (Musically, they were kinda all over the place.) And apart from Bungle, it's very cool (yet unsurprising) Brann gave props to the great John Zorn.
