Hearing about Jason David Frank threw me for a loop. He was idolized by the fans, his character was basically the face of the entire franchise, he was an accomplished martial artist. But in the end, none of that was enough for him :(
Still so damn sad thinking about it, was/is my favorite Ranger. It was just so epic when the Green Ranger showed up storyline and all had all us kids talking. Also had the best zords in Dragon Falcon and Tiger.
@@catisreckless4647 same here!! I kept saying wow they did it just how it was done!! I liked how Jason said “Dragon Zord” knowing he garnered much success as the “White Tiger”. He coulda said that but kept it original.
Dude, he was a monster in PR the movie. But, I guess life happened and he thinned out. But he's back on track now. Also, you can thank Walter for getting the gang back together.
Jason liked to bring joy because something inside him didnt let him feel it himself. It doesnt have a reason, it just exists and consumes every bit of happiness around you, no matter how hard you try to feel the joy you're in. He didn't want anyone to feel it so he tried to bring a smile wherever he went. I know, brother. And I miss you with all my heart.
My heart just sank in my stomach. Tommy you are still a Godsend and a legend and you don’t know how many children of the 90s you raised with your courage and tenacity and determination. As well as your love and respect. Thank you so much for blessing us with many wonderful years. Can’t wait to play the dragon flute with you someday :-)
I’m glad David Yost seems to be doing well and is able to go to panels like this without much personal turmoil. You could tell he didn’t really want to do the morph sequence though. I sympathize for him, he had to go through so much bullying and hatred towards him on set.
@@joeshearman2341 David Yost isn't dead. During the filming of MMPR for the 3 or so years he was doing it, he revealed there about 10 years back that a lot of the crew (not his fellow actors as far as I know) bullied him because he was gay. Pretty severe homophobic bullying as well.
@brooklyn summers I understand Dave's nightmare with Saban and the backstage crew. However, why was David Yost uncomfortable with doing the Morphin pose?
On this side of the planet, maybe. Japan had sentais from the 70's, and this like all PR generations after this, are just adaptations of that japanese series. :v
@@RREDesigns I don't know how fair it is either to call them adaptations when so many ranger seasons are so different from their Sentai counterpart. The only similarity power rangers have with Sentai is the suits, stock footage used, and some of the story elements. Power rangers is still very much it's own separate thing.
Jason David Frank has dyed his hair green. Awesome. I always preferred Tommy as green ranger than white ranger, mainly because of Go Green Ranger Go! I always thought Zack shouted "Mastodon!" way better than Adam. Adam sounded more like he was forced to say it otherwise Lord Zedd would have sucked out his soul.
Seeing JDF cracking jokes left and right j makes me miss him more. So glad there's so many vids like this one that can show j how incredible of a person JDF was.
the original team made the show for me and defined my childhood, it's too bad Amy couldnt be there or the one who played Jason, but thank you for giving me and so many others one of the best and cherished childhood memories.
I can't believe as a kid, watching this on saturday morning. I never realized, Zack (Walter) was missing a finger on his left hand. Like I remember hearing that he was missing one on some video talking about Power Ranger history, but I never really believed it until now. To actually see he's one finger short on his left hand.
Hearing three of the original MMPR actors say their old morphing calls again... Oh, man, that's too cool for words. Now all we need are Amy Jo Johnson, Karan Ashley and Austin St. John to join them at that panel and say "Pterodactyl!", "Saber-Tooth Tiger!" and "Tyrannosaurus!" again, respectively. Why hasn't there been an MMPR reunion on any recent season? Long time fans would go nuts for that.
Cant believe its been 20 years, thats crazy. These guys have barely even aged and they are still kickin it! JDF is hilarious, Walter is of course my hero, and David is just the average nerd nobody wants to be, but we all love him.
Jdf was such an awesome guy. Really gonna miss the jokes he cracked up during the 2010s. Was extremely enthusiastic during megaforce's run and a majority of the 2010s. Given i did realize he seemed less jokey in the last 2 years before his death. Especially when i got to meet him finally.
Its criminal how Walter Jones hasnt ever reprised his role as the black ranger when Disney was still producing the series, hell they could even do it now. Johnny Yong Bosch is a badass and did the Black Ranger legacy proud but they could have once made him resume being the green zeo ranger and allow Walter Jones to come back for one anniversary special, even now.
The only reason why he doesn't reprise his role of Zack is because he became a union actor after leaving the show, and the show is still not unionized, he was supposed to return as Zack in the turbo movie and he actually agreed until he found out he would have to give up his union status
HAHAHAA ok video had me dying from the beginning yeah putty blllllololol omg what 😂 then david yost with that shut down "do your morphin calls david "nooo" omg to good this is gold
Jason Frank is the only that looks really enthusiastic about it all. The least most enthusiastic is probably David Yost. All these years and Jason Frank is still very much into his Power Rangers lore...
I want to celebrate his life he was the best power ranger he was the most kind human funny his energy was amazing God cared he about his fans I miss him deeply
I think my favorite one was from a couple of years ago. JDF" You want to see what it was like on set? IT'S MORPHIN TIME!!!. . . . .cut." love that these guys are still having fun with it after all these years.
