tr.ee/T7sSZnpw9z Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
We can also use other tools to remove hard ear wax, foreign bodies, peeling dead skin or for ear infection removal.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.
We post new ear cleaning videos Monday - Friday at 9PM GMT so if you find ear wax removal satisfying please consider subscribing to our channel.
Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

I have the mastoid cavity nuisance ear, when they removed my build up, it was a combination of skin, wax, fungus and infection and the Dr managed to get it out in one piece, it was nearly the size of my thumb. While coaxing it out he said you may get very dizzy, he wasn’t kidding, I was so dizzy and it came on so sudden, I couldn’t keep my head up and I started sliding out of the chair. But it was huge!

As a person who has suffered with psoriasis for the last 50 years, I have noticed my hearing has dramatically decreased in the past 18 months. I want to "Thank you" for your very informative videos. I shall be seeking a audiologist for my declining hearing.Thank you ever so much !

Wow that was a tough one. Just out of absolute curiosity. How come didn’t use any olive oil to lubricate and soften to help get it out ? Or would not have made a difference due to the crumbly consistency ? Love your vids. Very interesting and fascinating. And Informative. Wish you were in Sydney !

I had just gotten the mastoidectomy after they found a massive cholesteatoma in the mastoid bones. And they had to do a canal wall down. Right now, I have to go in every three months for cleaning and a follow-up surgery next year to be fitted with a hearing aid device. Definitely everything you described and show in this video, Rhys. Hopefully this patient got a lot of relief from this cleaning and removal and best of luck to everyone.

I've got a mastoid cavity and Rhys isn't wrong, it hurt like mad when I was a child. 36 yrs later and it can still be tender when the audiologist has a look 🤭 I'm quite lucky that I don't get a lot of build up but when I have the procedure done, I always get clarineting! It's like the whirling pits when you've had a few but not as fun! So it's always better to have the manual tools for me 🥰 Great vid, Rhys and yes, it's great when it's done and removed, I cheer my audiologist on 😆🙏🏻 Thanks for another brilliant explained vid 👍🏻🍺❤

This was a brilliant removal Mr Rhys , The patient had a good scratching from you , I can imagine that it must have been a very itching ear canal because of the very dry skin and it is also frustrating that you can’t get to it yourself , so you safely did that for him and get rid of it, hopefully he will come to see you sooner. Thanks for charring this wonderful video with us . 👍👏🏼😘🇧🇪

Thanks for another great video, Rhys!! Amazing! I really wish someone around here (northeastern USA) did this kind of ear wax removal; I only have found people that will do water irrigation, which both squicks me out AND often leaves me with water trapped in my ear for a while! 😫 Fabulous job, Rhys!!

You can buy something close to that on Amazon connects to your phone and you can see inside your ear it’s a camera and has cleaning attachments but I’d only recommend using it for getting anything close to the outside of your ear and being able to see your cavity!!! I’m gonna get one just for fun bcuz you can see everything even your eardrum!! Very clear view aswell!! They have many different brands some with the misting removal like if your ear is humid it will clear the lense and I haven’t seen any over 50 bucks!!!
