The Masubia people are one of the largest tribes in Namibia's Zambezi Region. Known as River people because of their dependence on riverine food Masubia can also be found in countries such Zambia and Botswana. Each year this tribe gathers at Bukalo, the traditional headquarters, some 50 kilometres east of Katima Mulilo to celebrate a cultural heritage spanning centuries.
