I don't care if his music videos have 15 views only, Mat Kearney is my Religious influence. He reminds he of how pure and healing it is to be a Christian and closer to God.
I really love this guy's music. I am not a religious person but I listen to his music all the time because even tho it's about loving God, you can take it anyway that you want. His music could be about loving God, loving yourself, enjoying life, etc. Always holding on and never giving up.

Wow,with the zillions of prayers god must answer each day you would'nt think he'd have the time to give a delicious cheese recipe.I mean really,I would assume prayers from people dying from famine, war, and poverty would be answered first, yet that's not how it is at all. God is an equal oppurtuniuty prayer responder. Whether your prayer is to live one more day,or to finally be able to purchase that cool Hummer you've always wanted so your chances of getting layed increase, God is there for you!
I finally found it! I first heard this song on the radio while I was driving in Dubai going to Abu Dhabi in 2013. But it was towards the end of the song so I had no idea what the title was. But the beat remained on my mind. The next time I heard it was when I was in Indonesia inside a mall in 2015. I tried to record it with my phone but the surrounding was so noisy it was difficult to listen to the recording. In 2017 I heard it again inside a store in Australia but it was towards the end of the song again. I was in the hotel lobby in Egypt in 2019 when I heard it again. January of 2020, I heard it in a mall in San Francisco. I asked my friend who was with me that time but she can barely hear it because of the noise. Then recently I heard it again on the radio inside my car, so immediately recorded it! I searched online and finally found it! IT TOOK ME 8 YEARS FINDING THE TITLE! I love this song. 😊
SAME except i heard it in the car and the tune stayed in my mind for the past 11 years after that 1 listen and i couldn't remember any of the words because i was a dumb 9 year old when i heard it and only recently was i able to dig it up by humming it into google since they just added a feature where it'll find songs if u hum something kind of close to it

Why keep on talking about him being a Christian? I'm a Muslim and I love his music. It elevates the soul. I love that he talks about moral things we've been missing in music for a long time. Just absolutely beautiful.
I heard this song on the radio, after looking it up, I was both surprised, and not so surprised, that I got turned to Mat Kearney again. Such an underrated guy. One of the few artists that makes me hear a song and ask 'WHO IS THAT?' more than one time.

My wife & I were lucky enough to win a trip to the fabulous Pinehurst, NC, golf & tennis resort. It was part of a national promotion run by Mercedes Benz dealers. Turns out Mat Kearney's dad was there and they lined Mat up as the entertainment for the main dinner to cap off the event. I have to admit I'd heard a few of his songs and liked them, but I didn't know his stuff well at all. He was great, put on a wonderful show with just one accompanist, and stuck around afterward to casually chat with people. Super impressed with his music and personality.

He told me that even though he was dying, he was never happier in his life--always praising God, always talking about God with me. Only God can do that. His name was Ron Williams. Mat is AMAZING!!! his previous 2 albums convinced me that he is a GENIUS!! deserves to be more mainstream, BUT i've seen what mainstream has done to some of my favorite artists in the past, so as long as he keeps puttin music out im cool!...The Zavala family LOVES Mat Kearney!!!
