Hey man, I’m a live sound/studio sound worker for 10 years and specifically mixing and mastering. Shouting out your homie and how his work changed the feel of the track was really touching and awesome… People never realize how often artists don’t get recognition ever, it’s criminal. Struggling to prove yourself in this industry can lead to some of the worst feelings of self. Thanks man! And the video was interesting.
Love this album. It’s stuck with me since release. A lot of the lyrics relate to some recent life events for me - even if they are from my own perspective. My favorite album of the year so far.
The raw stuff is what I love. Those early albums have the absolute best songs I know. Examples- Silver Bill, Sunday Night, Spin me around. Many many more, do more of the raw stuff❤️ also go on tour🔥🔥
Love hearing you break this down! Love the new record and as a fellow musician working in a similar DIY vein, it’s nice to see that someone else uses presets and the same plugins across a track 😂 It’s super encouraging to see and would definitely love to hear more of these if you have the time!
I loved this, awesome video 🤙i love how transparent and straightforward you are about using presets 😂 thats all i would and still use when i attempt to record songs haha which is what i enjoy the most about you as a writer cause you feel the most down to earth about it 👍 i remember while i was learning your songs on acoustic i think Ruby from your explination video you called one of the chords your "fake G chord" or something 😂 and i loved that shit so much cause it completely goes to show that anyone can write incredible music as you have and it doesnt have to be textbook and i love that and find it super inspiring. Good shit mat, good shit 👊
