Fitting the exact mold of what NBA teams look for in a stretch 5 type player, Buzelis comes from both a family and a country that has a reputation for producing exceptional basketball players. Both of Buzelis’ parents were professional basketball players in Lithuania who immigrated to the US, and Matas intends to follow in their footsteps and potentially go even further, looking to be the next in a long line of great Lithuanian players among the likes of Arvydas and Domantas Sabonis, Jonas Valanciunas, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Šarūnas Jasikevičius, but does he have the potential to do that?
