Last year I posted a video about my brother not matching into a residency program, I was reluctant to post anything but he really wanted me to post it. He wanted to be honest and open about what happened because like him many others faced the same obstacle. He wanted to ensure people that it is okay, it is not the end of the road.
After a very long year of working extremely hard its Match Day once again...

I also went through waiting and opening that email on Monday so I can relate to his stress but nothing but respect for him for sticking with it and making it happen! Are you going to post anything Friday?

mefarrellii TV that's amazing! I hope you received good news as well. The stress that comes with waiting for that email is just something else. I actually should be posting something by tomorrow!

Haha yeah medical school, and the process of becoming a physician, is a roller coaster of stress and waiting. I will keep my eye out and will be interested to hear where he ends up. I did receive the good news on Monday and will be finding out Friday where I am headed next.

Went to SGU. Matched into Psychiatry at RUMC (Staten Island)

Congratulations! its a lot of emotions, not matching, reapplying and then matching! I about crashed the car when i found out i did. I was beyound myself with relief. I didnt know whether to cry or laugh. Enjoy all the time before residency starts. It as hard as they say, especially the first few months but there will be those moments that make it all worth it. Congrats again.

Thanks! That's very true. I thought I'd be crying tears of joy but there really is a period of both disbelief and elation, makes you numb for a few seconds. I have no doubt about the challenges that I'm about to face. I've heard from a few of my friends over this past year about the grind. Looking forward to it!
