Ross Shaffer the star of Match Game had suffer an injury and fell down on the floor during a taping in 1991, and the star wheel in the big money Super Match was a dinosaur in comparison to the original from 1978 to 1982. And executive producers Chester Feldman and Jonathan Goodson, surely made the money for this new 1990-91 incarnation of Match Game.
From what I gathered just by watching the intro of the panel, the only similarity I see between Vicki & Marcia is that they both have big toothy smiles or is it just me?
@@nickbeebe7386 I did not know that. The only time I remembered Marcia ever sitting in the 2nd seat on the OG MG is during the syndicated version when Brett wasn't there & she & the other two female panelists at that time (Joyce Bulifant & Betty White) switched with each other, even though Betty White started (& I also believe ended) in the second seat during that week of shows.
That pratfall looked totally fake to me. I read an interview where Ross said the producers tried to stage some kind of fake feud/rivalry between him and Vicki late in the show's run... This looked staged to me as well.
