Honestly, I don’t know either of these guys but Cressy’s “grunting” is far worse than Shelton’s! That noise should be illegal! It feels VERY INTENTIONAL in distracting your player! Ugh!
where has this guy even been??? did he place in any american tournaments?? honestly dude looks really fit but he's all in for that serve and volley game like its going out of style.
Tbh, I thought the momentum switched to Cressy when he won the 2nd set, and again after saving 2 match points. All credit to Choinski for holding the nerve.
I cannot help myself but this prolonged grunting by some players - Cressy is one of them - has got zip to do with breathing. I perceive it as an irritation to other players. Who tells me that a long grunt when playing a drop shot out of half court is necessary ?? So far it has not been ruled illegal but I certainly perceive it as tactical / psychological aspect of the game. Any thoughts from anyone on this ? Perhaps I can learn something that makes me able to accept this easier ???
Cressy has a specific racquet for serves and another for returns? Does anybody know why? I was thinking maybe he goes with tighter strings for the returns.
@@t-bone7988 But have you noticed that many super tall guys often walk hunched over a bit, as though they are not comfortable being so tall, or just having gotten used to avoiding hitting their head in the hallways growing up. Just an observation.
'How to Lose a Tie-Break' by Max Cressy..."Ahhh," and then "Ahhh," followed by easily missed volleys, and service returns, going for a big shot when its not necessary and "Ahhh," and 'Ahhhh some more...Oh by the way, M.Cressy your service preparation could be better... I think you are losing concentration just before hitting the ball.... Maybe you should consider changing coaches ; the forced noise making doesn't do anything but annoy players / public..
It's not a foot fault, because it depends on where the feet are located when the ball is struck and leaves the racket. At that time, his left foot was near his right foot.
Maxime Cressy is one of the last to practice Serve & Volley, also he uses 2 rackets, one for the serve another for the return ! sorry for his loss, must be very frustating after having to Match points...
Look theres a crowd and the action is great. I think there should be more prizemoney in slams and why not start this as rounds 1 2 3 and have more prizemoney
I blame Andy Murray's mother. He started it when his mum was in charge of him on tour. Also feminized him beyond repair. Sad to see men develop vajines.
This type of grunting employed here by Cressy is clearly interference and would have been disallowed in any other sport, except tennis. The Spaniards and South Americans pioneered this semi-cheating delayed grunt starting with Nadal arrival in our sport, and the governing bodies did nothing about it. He was breathing new life into a stagnant sport was their rationale for turning a blind eye to what was, at the very least, poor sportsmanship but more like borderline cheating. Federer was a class act and did not need to employ any type of underhanded tactics. Anyway, after letting it go on for so long, the genie is now out of the bottle, and there is seemingly nothing, rule-wise that is, that anyone can do to put it back in the bottle. Just consider that Carlos Alcaraz, the supposed future of Tennis, is the most flagrant practitioner of this assault on the fair play spirit that is, bar none, the quintessential defining quality upon which our sport is, or supposed to be, based. It's the sport of gentlemen right? Well, gentlemen are not suppose to cheat!
