Every time I see one of these old castings restored I think of Christmas morning or my birthday when I'd invariably receive a few of these toys shiny and new in their packaging. It's a nice feeling to relive that long ago feeling. I know I have the same smile on my face though now that little boy smile is on an old man's face. Thank you, TR.

Nice work on the Mixer, I think the reason the original owner painted that green stripe on the truck's mixing drum was probably that they saw some Cement Mixers with a Stripe Mixing drum and figure that their truck should have one, And I'm only Guessing.
As a former child who still has a great many of his childhood Matchboxes (including a Foden mixer in working, if dinged, condition) I would say that's a pretty darn good guess.
@@Donleecartoons I was only guessing about why the Drum was painted with a Greenline in the first place, and Lee did a good job restoring the Drum to its original factory version, there are other Toy Mixers that have a Line or Stripes on their Drums so that's why I was guessing.
can't go wrong with restos. I noticed that you and Marty have inevertatllly done same restos restos on castings. different color schemes on this one thou which is cool. hope all is well sir
