I remember the king size matchbox trucks being in highend toy stores inside a big glass case in the yellow packaging with the clear plastic film so u could see the vehicle What find memories u brought back makes me happy knowing u have such a love for Match boxes Thanx again Be healthy God bless you !
Hello, I'm absolutely surprised that you have so many nice king size models from Matchbox. I thought you were an absolutely Hotwheels fan ? Anyway , they look absolutely marvellous! By that many you should open a Matchbox museum! When I was a kid, I had lots of them you show here. But, as you know I played with them nearly every day and swapt them with my friends. Today because they are so expensive I'm collecting SIKU here in Germany. They also have king size models and I collect most of them. Especially the big trucks and truck cranes. It reminds me of the best times when I was a child and had so much time to play with them. Collecting these toys is a fantastic hobby. The only problem is that I can't take them with me when I have to leave this planet. But your collection, WOW!!! a lot of stars for⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and Greetings from Hamburg/Germany!
That's one amazing collection you bought. Even the stuff without boxes is in pretty great condition. It must have felt like all your Christmases came at once receiving that lot. Thanks for sharing all the cool vintage toys.
Fantastic . Decades ago my favorite aunt brought me the Hoveringham tipper down from Canada . I had no clue it was a Matchbox Kingsize . I thought it was another brand maybe a Canadian manufacture . We’re they marketed under a different name in Canada ? Anyway she brought me a couple pieces and I can’t remember what the other one was . I thought if I saw it there might be a memory jog . I know the next time she came to visit she saw the Hoveringham and I had played it out in the dirt and it was all scratched up . I remember her saying “oh no” ! “You weren’t supposed to do that” . “It was a start of a collection” . She wasn’t happy with my father (her brother) for letting me take them outside and bugger them all up . I wish I’d known better and have no clue what happened to the couple pieces she bought me . She’s been gone for years now and I often think back and wish I still had the stuff and kept it in pristine condition . Hence why I’m seeking out info on the stuff now . Thanks for the video . I thought what I had might have been a Corgi or some other European brand until I ran upon this video . 👍👍
As long as the models are mint in box and the price is fair there is no limit. Most collections that are offered to me are played with so I do not buy those. This collection was unusual in that they were part of a divorce and the person who ended up with them was not interested in them and wanted them gone. I did not want to drive out to see the collection because what they showed me in the photos was ok but not worth a days drive there and back. Then I found out my son Derek was driving up to Seattle for a soccer game and I asked him to check it out. He said it was a really great collection so he made a deal for the collection. It turned out to be way better than I thought. It is rare that you can find a collection this nice. You can't charge a buyer more than a car is worth so it is the person who sells me the collection that has to make it worth my while to buy it. I hardly ever make offers because most folks are very fair with their collection values.
