That Subaru brz looks definitely way better than the boring Tomica version in many aspects ( the more realistic and accurate scale in particular ) can't wait to get one. Thank you for your super informative video :)
Great vid! BRZ the best in this 2024 series - I found one at Walmart today, super lucky. I have a couple Tomica's but man, they are missing details... Tomica BRZ missing side mirrors, wipers, less details on lights/grill .. my Matchbox BRZ has a deeper blue like the Tomica and love the metal underside! Sweet casting;
Very good review sir very sad t the quality from matchbox recently event the mainlines were bad I noticed the car have paintbubling inside the packing 😢 very sad quality & prices hikes 😂 love the brz
Yeah, I actually ran into a major problem with the Celica. I guess when they put them together and I’ve come across two like this. I made the mistake of buying one like this because I couldn’t see it in the package before buying it. Evidentially where the rivet is placed the force or too much pressure to where it cracked the bumper on the front end, so I now have three of the Celicas and the one with the cracked bumper that I’m stuck with. I am going to work into a diorama where with it parked and the hood up you won’t see the defect on the car.I do agree Mattel needs to step it up with the quality control on a five dollar car.
@@matchboxman1518 agreed I don’t understand why they failed on a five dollar car when the Toyota MR2 for example, other than not coloring the top of the headlights, they did amazing on the job of the car and then what did they do? They did a second generation in the collectors edition with moving parts that the tempo the opening doors in everything from the ground up was just poor execution. And the only reason I justified getting that many duplicates was, I wanted to keep one in the package because the artwork was beautiful and I didn’t want to destroy it but but I did want to display one because the car to me was a very symbolic car if you’re a Toyota fan.
@@matchboxman1518 my whole plan was to basically collect Toyota line that I started collecting built around unopened Toyota Celica and MR-S and a few others.
I'll go with the BRZ. That 442 is probably OK if you don't have a Greenlight version because it's way too small. I know Matchbox does not do true 1/64, but still.
I like that Celica is best of bunch, but yes maybe little bit too high or/and short and could have smaller wheels. Usually i like Olds 442, but i'm not sure about this, body and details look nice, but it's way too high and way too big wheels, just doesn't look right, looks too much donk and suv. And those quality issues 🙁 I'm happy with my Johnny Lightning and Greenlight black bandit 442 models. Porsche and BRZ look good, but not my cup of tea (because I like older cars)
