The Merryweather Fire Engine is one of the iconic models, produced by Lesney since 1064 in the Regular Wheels version. In 1970, the company changed the chassis and used Superfast wheels. This model was produced in red metallic for two more years. My copy was incomplete. The tires and the plastic part of the ladder were missing. The metal ladder was broken but complete. It took me a long time to stick it together. The effect obtained was good, but the ladder could only have a decorative function. I borrowed the plastic part from a friend and made a copy of FC 52 polyamide resin. I cast a wheel of polyamide dyed with black dye. I made it in a mold made of MM 940 casting silicone. I made this mold earlier when I was renewing another King Size model. I made the decals and the box compatible with the original one.
