I was once on the pro circuit. I spent years perfecting my game and rising to the top. I was the biggest superstar in the sport. But fame would come at a cost in this sport. The glitz, the glamor, the girls, the parties, the drugs. It was all too much for me. I was burnt out and lost my touch because I cared more about the parties and women than I did my putting stroke. One morning I woke up hungover with drugs all around me and a putter grip in my ass. That was enough. I quit the mini-golf tour and checked myself into rehab. That’s was 8 years ago. I haven’t touched a putter or a drug since and I’m doing much better
I don’t think this putt would be legal in golf, I feel like they’re slightly pushing it and then letting it roll off the edge of the putt = that is the putt.
As a golfer I will try these putting strokes and grips next time I play. The Russian stroke was my fav. Like a mix between rowing a boat and fencing 🛶🤺
#34 needs to chill a bit. I average like 4-5 under on putt putt too but I'm not screaming on every ace like I just made a 20ft putt to win the Masters.
its it a rule that you have to have a jacked up stroke to play in this? like why isnt just a normal putting stroke that doesnt involve twisting and turning and bending and leaning not more effective here....
You’re not the first person to observe that, but anyway my assumption is that the balls being some kind of rubber roll better when they’re topped than hit normally. Or they just never saw golf played.
@@Abc86aik never thought that at all actually. just don't get the benefit of that swing over a normal one... in fact i feel its probably less reliable.
Only thing I want them to do more is play less 1-shot holes, those holes that don’t have a way you get a 99% hole in one by getting it into a spot. A course with a hole at the green and you have to shoot it at the right angle and just right to get a chance at hole in one, I love this sport and I have just started getting into it again after 5 years of ”off-time”, great players shown and great video! 🙏🏻🔥
Putting coach: approach the ball so that you are viewing directly overtop of the ball, with a firm grip on the shaft and your back forearm aligned with the club, with feet close together. Mini golf coach: collect a stance over the ball that mimics riding a motorbike, while opening a jar of pickles and pulling a rooted tree from the ground, all at once..now swing like you have severe arthritis
I do also want to become a professional minigolf player- it is much more difficult than you might think. And also one of the few sports where I cana ctually produce something...
Well, for being in the world championship, these players sure don’t act like they made a putt before this. Crazy excited. Act like you’ve done it before you bums
as a former ncaad1 golfer, this is silliness, these guys are putting well, but theres tens of thousands in the world that can putt this well, and just from a basic technique standpoint, (head mechanics, low putter dispersion, green reading abilities, wind and grain), there is a lot that is missing in normal putting situations on the course
Exactly... But are you saying you don't have a 4-ft follow through and Limp wrists when you putt... Look at 3:23... that's the proper follow through for a several foot putt right?😂
