I was thinking, Hey he's cutting that blank pretty thin! I don't think that was an "accident" haha... They turned out great, I really like the side that you sanded. The contrast between the different colors and the bare wood is awesome!!! Great video as always!!!

Looks great. I'm looking to try acrylic turning and that looks fun. So, a bowl out if the 'mistake' blank and handles out of the others. Or pens. Lol

Or glue them up in a checker board with wood sticks the same size and make a pot/bowl blank out of them? (Might have to make some more matchstick blanks.) Maybe even cut thin slabs and stack them up with some thick veneered wood for another cool pattern? Oh, there are so many ways if I had the money for the materials and time to get into my shop.

Nick, Nick, ...Nick.... An 8min 59sec video for Waffle Wednesday is acceptable, BUT NOT for Friday videos. Short Friday videos are like; -only eating one potato chip, -leaving half-way through a good movie, -giving your sweetheart and empty box of chocolate -leaving for a trip across Texas with only a quarter tank of gas. I believe.... short Friday videos by you are even outlawed in 34 of the 50 states. And that, the UN has called an emergency meeting to ban short NZ Friday videos. Common Nick, we are addicted to your Friday videos and need our full size fix. 😀

Hey Nick! I absolutely love your channel, I honestly think I've seen all of your videos and I think you are insanely talented! One thing I have been meaning to comment about for a long time is that, maybe you shouldn't put the photo of what you have created in the thumbnail. I'm not sure if u care much about views but it'll deff get you more views if you keep the end result a mystery to your audience. It's a lot more intriguing that way, in my opinion. Just a quick tip! :) As always, I love your videos! Keep em coming! haha

That would be awesome! One problem he might run into is they're just one sided. Easily can fix it by gluing two together, but not sure he would have the time to do that.

True Phillip, bad tear out because Googly Eyes are made hollow, so the eye disks can move about.

Ian Lynch he could do what he's done in the past with the lego super heroes. Where he turned the piece of wood first, then CA glued the legos onto the wood first and then poured the resin. He would know how deep he could go then. Or if he would do a pen blank, CA the googly eyes onto the brass tubing and then pour the resin. It'd be pretty funny having the googly eyes and maybe some funny mustaches as well. With the resin he uses he can sand it down crystal clear so we can see the eyes moving and possibly even hear it lol

I think it’d look better with something of solid color like the plastic pick up stix. I feel like you almost lose the color when you cut into the blanks exposing the natural wood.

Nick! I think it's the way your lighting is setup and maybe the slight angle change. Didn't notice the shadows as much in this video, but you were wearing your old glasses. My thinking is since you said something about possibly looking like Harry Potter(after he's done playing with a twig and grows a beard and finds women attractive) that I noticed more than before. Now you need to make up new stickers with the new glasses!!!

The tape isn’t what made the difference for the second try, actually filling the whole container with the matchsticks did, even if the first one had been taped it would still have looked the same as there was too much space inside the container that was just filled with resin.
