@@josephroxursox That's not real blindfold though, be honest. If you can look at the move history vs someone telling you and you are working on memory the latter is way harder.
This speedrun's gonna be better and better the higher he goes, well-thought through by Team Hikaru. It's like how Breaking Bad got better and better and it created its own kind of momentum.
17:36 if this game were reviewed by Gotham he would be like "Nah, these are an 500 and a 1000 player, there is no way a higher rated player will miss mate in 1". To be honest, I respect Levy, and watch lots of his videos, but I do hate the "guess the elo". Like, if I'm a queen, a horse and a bishop up material, I turn my brain off, of course I don't see mate in 2 or 3.
Bust em up with the slow whippins. Put those drawn out "play whatever and whip em" moves. Beating them down while they're fighting. Nice, Hikaru Cheers bro!
Beginners like me really don't know how to punish things properly. Every couple games I play the Bongcloud or other 2. king move "openings" and i have like a 30-20-50 W/D/L ratio when playing it. Im rated 700 BTW
The NAME is GM Hikaru! And you're looking at the two time back to back '21- '22 Bong Cloud speed running champ and TRUE international Fischer Random SUPER STAR.
Disrespectful opening idea - just move your knight back and forth multiple times, giving your opponent a bunch of free moves. Even an total beginner would detect the absolute disrespect of an opening like that. I feel like a lot of these openings Hikaru plays go completely over their heads.
The maniacal laughter in the intro is SOOO FUCKING fitting for Hikaru. I fuckin love it lmao. He's like a mad scientist over the board . Could have only been better if they added laughter after all the "If Takes, Then Takes, Takes" situation and some "Joker" imagery lmao. It's like an introduction to the slaughterhouse that is Hikaru's board lmfao absolutely perfect
