Both are amazing players but it's kinda random to namedrop plini here. I think what Mateus does with chord progressions, double stops and melody is just as interesting as Plini's compositions, motifs and lively play style. But I can really appreciate Mateus for his warm and full sound, proving that you don't need a second guitarist to play a sweet progression with a melody on top. I'd say Plini is my biggest source of inspiration from the past decade, but no need to shit on other players who are pushing the boundaries of playing guitar. This dude is really original, you could learn a thing or two from him for sure.
@@cornela1 Wouldn't have said it better myself! Plini is also a huge inspiration to me, but Mateus also never ceases to amaze me with his playing! Both are worthy of admiration :)
