S=2^0+2^1+2^2+2^3+ +2^11 =1+2(1+2^1+ 2^2+ +2^10) = 1+2(S -2^11) = 2S - 2^12 +1 Then S=2^12 -1

Actually, this sum isn't too hard to do by hand as (almost) everyone knows the powers of 2. E.g. 2¹⁰ = 1,024.

You basically just derived the formula for the sum of a GP so it does not count since you used a 'formula'. Also this isn't very hard to do by hand either.

@@vijaymaths5483 seen It may not be said a different method Ultimately it is 2s -s or 2A -A Dear sir If I write as under 2s =( 2^1+2^2+ +2^11) +2^12=(s-1) +2^12 > 2s -s=2^12-1 Will I say it a different method?
